தம் மனைவியரிடத்திலும், தங்கள் வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களிடத்திலும் (உறவு கொள்வதைத்) தவிர, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (இத்தகையோருடன் உறவு கொள்வது பற்றி) நிந்திக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

except in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands possess, for in regard to them they are not reproachable,
தம் மனைவியரிடத்திலும், தங்கள் வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களிடத்திலும் (உறவு கொள்வதைத்) தவிர, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (இத்தகையோருடன் உறவு கொள்வது பற்றி) நிந்திக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

verily those who believe and work the righteous works-- verily we waste not the hire of one who doth well in regard to his work.
நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, (ஸாலிஹான) நற் கருமங்களையும் செய்கிறார்களோ, அத்தகைய அழகிய செயல் செய்வோரின் (நற்) கூலியை நாம் நிச்சயமாக வீணாக்க மாட்டோம்.

(நபியே!) தானங்கள் விஷயத்தில் (பாரபட்சம் உடையவர்) என்று உம்மைக் குறை கூறுபவரும் அவர்களில் இருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவற்றிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கும் ஒரு பங்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டால் திருப்தியடைகின்றார்கள் - அப்படி அவற்றிலிருந்து கொடுக்கப்படவில்லையானால், அவர்கள் ஆத்திரம் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto musa the book, and difference arose concerning it; and had not a word gone forth from thy lord, the affair would have been decreed between them. and verily they are in regard thereto in doubt and dubitating.
நிச்சயமாக நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம் ஆனால், அதில் மாறுபாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டு விட்டன அன்றியும் உமது இறைவனிடமிருந்து ஏற்கனவே வாக்கு ஏற்படாது போயிருந்தால், அவர்களுக்கிடையே தீர்ப்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டே இருக்கும் - நிச்சயமாக அவர்களும் ஆழ்ந்த சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருக்கினறனர்.

he has struck for you a similitude from yourselves; do you have, among that your right hands own, associates in what we have provided for you so that you are equal in regard to it, you fearing them as you fear each other? so we distinguish the signs for a people who understand.
உங்களிலிருந்தே அவன் உங்களுக்காக ஓர் உதாரணத்தை எடுத்துக் கூறுகிறான்; உங்கள் வலக்கரம் உரிமைப்படுத்திக் கொண்டவர்களில் (அடிமைகளில்) எவரையும், நாம் உங்களுக் அளித்திருப்ப(தான சம்பத்)தில் உங்களுடன் பங்காளிகளாக ஆக்கிக் கொண்டு அதில் அவர்களுடன் சமமாக இருக்கிறீர்களா? உங்களைப் போன்றோருக்கு பயப்படுவதைப்போல் அவர்களை பயப்படுகிறீர்களா? இவ்வாறாகவே நாம் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளை சிந்தித்துணரும் சமூகத்திற்கு விவரிக்கிறோம்.

allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for allah loveth those who are just.
மார்க்க (விஷய)த்தில் உங்களிடம் போரிடாமலும், உங்கள் இல்லங்களிலிருந்து உங்களை வெளியேற்றாமலும் இருந்தார்களே அவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் நன்மை செய்வதையும், அவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் நீதி செய்வதையும் அல்லாஹ் விலக்க வில்லை - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நீதி செய்பவர்களை நேசிக்கிறான்.

allah only forbiddeth you with regard to those who fought against you on account of religion and drave you out from your homes and helped in driving you out, that ye should befriend them. and whosoever shall befriend them, then those! they are the wrong-doers.
நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களை விலக்குவதெல்லாம் மார்க்க விஷயத்தில் உங்களிடம் போர் செய்து உங்களை உங்கள் இல்லங்களை விட்டும் வெளியேற்றி, நீங்கள் வெளியேற்றப்படுவதற்கு உதவியும் செய்தார்களே, அத்தகையவர்களை நீங்கள் நேசர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்வதைத் தான் - எனவே, எவர்கள் அவர்களை நேசர்களாக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள்தாம் அநியாயம் செய்பவர்கள்.
