இன்னும் அவர்கள் இன்பமாக அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த சுகானுபவங்களையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றார்கள்).

do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the scripture? then will you not reason?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

he said, “you throw!” and when they threw, they beguiled the eyes of the people, and intimidated them, and produced a mighty magic.
அதற்கு (மூஸா), "நீங்கள் (முதலில்) எறியுங்கள்" என்று கூறினார். அவ்வாறே அவர்கள் (தம் கைத்தடிகளை) எறிந்தார்கள்; மக்களின் கண்களை மருட்டி அவர்கள் திடுக்கிடும்படியான மக்தான சூனியத்தை செய்தனர்.

my people, the life of this world is ephemeral, whereas the hereafter, that is the permanent abode.
"என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் அற்ப சுகம்தான்; அன்றியும் நிச்சயமாக, மறுமையோ - அதுதான் (என்றென்றுமிருக்கும்) நிலையான வீடு.

o my people, the life of this world is only a temporary provision; and the hereafter is the permanent abode.
"என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் அற்ப சுகம்தான்; அன்றியும் நிச்சயமாக, மறுமையோ - அதுதான் (என்றென்றுமிருக்கும்) நிலையான வீடு.
