அந்த நாளில், (இவ்வாறு) (அல்லாஹ்வை) நிராகரித்து, (அல்லாஹ்வின்) தூதருக்கும் மாறு செய்தவர்கள், பூமி தங்களை விழுங்கி சமப்படுத்திடக் கூடாதா என்று விரும்புவார்கள்;. ஆனால் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் எந்த விஷயத்தையும் அவர்கள் மறைக்கமுடியாது.

நாம் குறித்த காலத்தில் (குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்தில்) மூஸா வந்த போது, அவருடைய இறைவன் அவருடன் பேசினான்; அப்போது மூஸா "என் இறைவனே! நான் உன்னைப் பார்க்க வேண்டும்; எனக்கு உன்னைக் காண்பிப்பாயாக! என்று வேண்டினார். அதற்கு அவன், "மூஸாவே! நீர் என்னை ஒருக்காலும் பார்க்க முடியாது, எனினும் நீர் இந்த மலையைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிரும். அது தன் இடத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்தால், அப்போது நீர் என்னைப் பார்ப்பீர்!" என்று கூறினான். ஆகவே அவருடைய இறைவன் அம்மலை மீது தன்னுடைய பேரொளியைத் தோற்றுவித்த போது, அவன் அம்மலையை நொறுக்கித் தூளாக்கி விட்டான்; அப்போது மூஸா மூர்ச்சையாகிக் கீழே விழுந்து விட்டார். அவர் தெளிவடைந்ததும், "(இறைவா!) நீ மிகவும் பரிசத்தமானவன்; நான் உன்னிடம் மன்னிப்பு கோருகிறேன். ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களில் நான் முதன்மையானவனாக இருக்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.
