ஆனால் எவன் உலோபித்தனம் செய்து அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து தன்னைத் தேவையற்றவனாகக் கருதுகிறானோ,

ஆனால் எவன் உலோபித்தனம் செய்து அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து தன்னைத் தேவையற்றவனாகக் கருதுகிறானோ,

but he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.

as for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to allah),
ஆனால் எவன் உலோபித்தனம் செய்து அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து தன்னைத் தேவையற்றவனாகக் கருதுகிறானோ,

proclaim, “if you owned the treasures of the mercy of my lord, you would hoard them too for fear that they may get spent; and man is a big miser.”
"என்னுடைய இறைவனின் (ரஹ்மத்து என்னும்) அருள் பொக்கிஷங்களை நீங்கள் சொந்தப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு இருப்பீர்களானாலும், அவை செலவாகி விடுமோ என்ற பயத்தினால், நீங்கள் (அவற்றைத்) தடுத்துக்கொள்வீர்கள் - மேலும், மனிதன் உலோபியாகவே இருக்கின்றான்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

and let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach (like a spendthrift), so that you become blameworthy and in severe poverty.
(உலோபியைப் போல் எதுவும் வழங்காது) உம் கையை உம் கழுத்தில் கட்டப் பட்டதாக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்; அன்றியும், (அனைத்தையும் செலவழித்து உம் கையை) ஒரே விரிப்பாக விரித்து விடாதீர்; அதனால் நீர் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவராகவும், (கையில் எதுவுமில்லாது) துக்கப்பட்டவராகவும் அமைந்து விடுவீர்.
