(மறுமையில் இவர்களைச் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) கூறுவார்கள்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்களும் உங்களுடன் இருக்கின்றோம் என்று. அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது உறுதியான சத்தியம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் இவர்கள் தானா?" என்று முஃமின்கள் கூறுவார்கள். இவர்களுடைய செயல்கள் (எல்லாம்) அழிந்துவிட்டன. இன்னும் இவர்கள் நஷ்டவாளிகளாக ஆகிவிட்டனர்.

while those who believe will exclaim: 'are these the self-same people who solemnly swore by allah that they were with you?' all their acts have gone to waste and now they are the losers.
(மறுமையில் இவர்களைச் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) கூறுவார்கள்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்களும் உங்களுடன் இருக்கின்றோம் என்று. அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது உறுதியான சத்தியம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் இவர்கள் தானா?" என்று முஃமின்கள் கூறுவார்கள். இவர்களுடைய செயல்கள் (எல்லாம்) அழிந்துவிட்டன. இன்னும் இவர்கள் நஷ்டவாளிகளாக ஆகிவிட்டனர்.

and among them are some who listen to what you say; until when they go away from you, they say to those who have been given knowledge, “what did he say now?”; they are those whose hearts allah has sealed, and they follow their own desires.
இன்னும், அவர்களில் உம்மைச் செவிமடுப்பவர்களும் இருக்கின்றனர்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் உம்மை விட்டு வெளியேறியதும், எவர்களுக்கு (வேத) ஞானம் அருளப் பெற்றதோ அவர்களைப் பார்த்து "அவர் சற்று முன் என்ன கூறினார்?" என்று (பரிகாசமாகக்) கேட்கின்றனர்; இத்தகையோரின் இருதயங்களின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டுவிட்டான். மேலும் இவர்கள், தங்கள் மனோ இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றுகின்றனர்.
