எனினும் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றையும் - தாங்கள் உதவி செய்யப்படும் பொருட்டு அவர்கள் தெய்வங்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

(முஷ்ரிக்குகள்) தங்களுக்காக (அல்லாஹ்விடம் மன்றாடுவதற்கு) வல்லமையுடையவையென்று அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (வேறு) தெய்வங்களை எடுத்துக் கொண்டுள்ளார்கள்!

and indeed, we have eased the qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded.
அவர்கள் (அறிந்து) நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுவதற்காக, இதை நாம் உம்முடைய மொழியில் எளிதாக்கினோம்.

and he made it a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].

அதன் பழவகைகளை அவர்கள் உண்பதற்காக ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய கைகள் இதை உண்டாக்கவில்லை - ஆகவே அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தமாட்டார்களா?

and he left these words to endure among his descendants, so that they might return [to god].

and we did not send a prophet in a town but we overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves.
நாம் நபிமார்களை அனுப்பி வைத்த ஒவ்வோர் ஊரிலுள்ள மக்களையும், (அம் மக்கள்) பணிந்து நடப்பதற்காக, நாம் அவர்களை வறுமையாலும், பிணியாலும் பிடிக்காமல் (சோதிக்காமல்) இருந்ததில்லை.

and assuredly we have destroyed the cities round about you. and we have variously propounded our signs, that haply they might return.
அன்றியும், உங்களைச் சுற்றி இருந்த ஊ(ரா)ர்களையும் திடமாக நாம் அழித்திருக்கிறோம், அவர்கள் (நேர்வழிக்கு) மீளும் பொருட்டு நாம் (அவர்களுக்குப்) பல அத்தாட்சிகளைத் திருப்பித் திருப்பிக் காண்பித்தோம்.

and we taught him the making of coats of mail for you, that they might protect you in your wars; will you then be grateful?
இன்னும் நீங்கள் பேரிடும் போது உங்களைப் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்வதற்கான கவசங்கள் செய்வதை, அவருக்கு நாம் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தோம் - எனவே (இவற்றுக்கெல்லாம்) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துகிறவர்களாக இருக்கிறீர்களா?

he broke them all into pieces, except for the biggest one of them, so that they might return to it [for enquiry].
