(நம் தூதர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரிடத்திலும்;) "தூதர்களே! நல்ல பொருள்களிலிருந்தே நீங்கள் உண்ணுங்கள்; (ஸாலிஹான) நல்லமல்களை செய்யுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நான் நன்கு அறிபவன் (என்றும்)

eat the good and lawful of things that god has given you, and be grateful for the bounty of god, if you really worship him.
(முஃமின்களே!) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ளவற்றிலிருந்து ஹலாலான நல்லவற்றையே நீங்கள் புசியுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அவனையே வணங்குபவர்களாக இருப்பின் அல்லாஹ்வின் அருட்கொடைக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்.

o ye who believe! eat of the good things that we have provided for you, and be grateful to allah, if it is him ye worship.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ளவற்றில் தூய்மையானவற்றையே உண்ணுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையே வணங்குபவர்களாக இருப்பீர்களாயின், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தி வாருங்கள்.

o you who have faith! do not prohibit the good things that allah has made lawful to you, and do not transgress. indeed allah does not like the transgressors.
முஃமின்களே! அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு ஹலாலாக்கி (ஆகுமாக்கி)யுள்ள, பரிசுத்தமான பொருட்களை ஹராமானவையாக (விலக்கப்பட்டவையாக) ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்;. இன்னும் வரம்பு மீறியும் செல்லாதீர்கள்;. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வரம்பு மீறுபவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

if ye (but) eschew the most heinous of the things which ye are forbidden to do, we shall expel out of you all the evil in you, and admit you to a gate of great honour.
நீங்கள் தடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளவற்றில் பெரும் பாவங்களை தவிர்த்து கொண்டால் உங்களுடைய குற்றங்களை நாம் மன்னிப்போம். உங்களை மதிப்புமிக்க இடங்களில் புகுத்துவோம்.

o believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you; and let them find in you a harshness; and know that god is with the godfearing.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! உங்களை அடுத்திருக்கும் (தொல்லை விளைவிக்கும்) காஃபிர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள்; உங்களிடம் கடுமையை அவர்கள் காணட்டும் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுடன் இருக்கிறன். என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

"and o my people! give full measure and weight in justice and reduce not the things that are due to the people, and do not commit mischief in the land, causing corruption.
"(என்) சமூகத்தவர்களே! அளவையிலும் நிறுவையிலும், நீதியைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் பூர்த்தி செய்யுங்கள். (மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க வேண்டிய) அவர்களுடைய பொருட்களைக் குறைத்து விடாதீர்கள். பூமியில் விஷமம் செய்துகொண்டு (வரம்பு மீறி) அலையாதீர்கள்.

"and o my people! give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do mischief.
"(என்) சமூகத்தவர்களே! அளவையிலும் நிறுவையிலும், நீதியைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் பூர்த்தி செய்யுங்கள். (மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க வேண்டிய) அவர்களுடைய பொருட்களைக் குறைத்து விடாதீர்கள். பூமியில் விஷமம் செய்துகொண்டு (வரம்பு மீறி) அலையாதீர்கள்.

it is he who hath created for you all things that are on earth; moreover his design comprehended the heavens, for he gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things he hath perfect knowledge.
அ(வ்விறை)வன் எத்தகையவன் என்றால் அவனே உலகத்திலுள்ள அனைத்தையும் உங்களுக்காகப் படைத்தான்; பின் அவன் வானத்தின் பக்கம் முற்பட்டான்; அவற்றை ஏழு வானங்களாக ஒழுங்காக்கினான். அன்றியும் அவனே ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் நன்கறிபவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

and remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but he sheltered you and strengthened you with his aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks.
"நீங்கள் பூமியில் (மக்காவில்) சிறு தொகையினராகவும், பலஹீனர்களாகவும் இருந்த நிலையில், உங்களை (எந்த நேரத்திலும்) மனிதர்கள் இறாஞ்சிக் கொண்டு சென்று விடுவார்கள் என்று நீங்கள் பயப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த போது அவன் உங்களுக்கு (மதீனாவில்) புகலிடம் அளித்துத் தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டு உங்களை பலப்படுத்தினான் - இன்னும் பரிசுத்தமான ஆகாரங்களையும் அவன் உங்களுக்கு அளித்தான்; இவற்றை நினைவு கூர்ந்து (அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்காளாக!"

it is he who has created you; and of you are some that are unbelievers, and some that are believers: and allah sees well all that ye do.
(மானிடர்களே!) அவனே உங்களைப் படைத்தவன், உங்களில் காஃபிரும் உண்டு, முஃமினும் உண்டு - இன்னும் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை அல்லாஹ் நோக்கிவாறே இருக்கின்றான்.

o ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that allah is with those who fear him.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! உங்களை அடுத்திருக்கும் (தொல்லை விளைவிக்கும்) காஃபிர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள்; உங்களிடம் கடுமையை அவர்கள் காணட்டும் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுடன் இருக்கிறன். என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

do you then hope that they would believe in you, and a party from among them indeed used to hear the word of allah, then altered it after they had understood it, and they know (this).
(முஸ்லிம்களே!) இவர்கள் (யூதர்கள்) உங்களுக்காக நம்பிக்கை கொள்வார்கள் என்று ஆசை வைக்கின்றீர்களா? இவர்களில் ஒருசாரார் இறைவாக்கைக் கேட்டு; அதை விளங்கிக் கொண்ட பின்னர், தெரிந்து கொண்டே அதை மாற்றி விட்டார்கள்.

no fault it is in you if ye seek grace from your lord. then when ye hurry from arafat, remember allah near the sacred monument. remember him as he hath guided you, and ye were afore of the erring.

they said, “we see an evil omen in you; if you do not give up, we will stone you, and a painful punishment from us will befall you.”

and establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: for those things, that are good remove those that are evil: be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their lord):
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.
