that which they spend in pursuit of the life of this world is like a biting frosty blast which smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and destroys it. god is not unjust to them; they are unjust to their own souls.
இவ்வுலக வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் செலவழிப்பது ஒரு காற்றுக்கு ஒப்பாகும்;. அது (மிகவும்) குளிர்ந்து (பனிப்புயலாக மாறி) தமக்குத் தாமே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்ட அக்கூட்டத்தாரின் (வயல்களிலுள்ள) விளைச்சலில்பட்டு அதை அழித்துவிடுகிறது - அவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் கொடுமை செய்யவில்லை. அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே கொடுமையிழைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

the example of what they spend in the life of this world is like that of a wind accompanied with frost which smites the harvest of a people who wronged themselves, and lays it to waste. it is not allah who wronged them; rather it is they who wrong themselves.
இவ்வுலக வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் செலவழிப்பது ஒரு காற்றுக்கு ஒப்பாகும்;. அது (மிகவும்) குளிர்ந்து (பனிப்புயலாக மாறி) தமக்குத் தாமே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்ட அக்கூட்டத்தாரின் (வயல்களிலுள்ள) விளைச்சலில்பட்டு அதை அழித்துவிடுகிறது - அவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் கொடுமை செய்யவில்லை. அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே கொடுமையிழைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

every soul shall taste death, and you will indeed be paid your full rewards on the day of resurrection. whoever is delivered from the fire and admitted to paradise has certainly succeeded. the life of this world is nothing but the wares of delusion.

allah expands the provision for whomever he wishes, and tightens it. they boast of the life of this world, but compared with the hereafter the life of this world is but a [trifling] enjoyment.
அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவருக்கு சம்பத்தை விசாலமாக்குகிறான்; (தான் நாடியவருக்கு) அளவிட்டுக் கொடுக்கின்றான்; எனினும் அவர்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்கள் - இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையோ மறுமைக்கு ஒப்பிடாமல் மிகவும் அற்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

what has happened to you, o believers, that when you are asked to set out in the cause of god your feet begin to drag? do you find the life of the world so pleasing that you forget the life to come? yet the profit of the life of this world is but meagre as compared to the life to come.
ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் (போருக்குப் புறப்பட்டுச்) செல்லுங்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால், நீங்கள் பூமியின் பக்கம் சாய்ந்து விடுகிறீர்களே உங்களுக்கு உன்ன நேர்ந்து விட்டது? மறுமையைவிட இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைக் கொண்டே நீங்கள் திருப்தியடைந்து விட்டீர்களா? மறுமை(யின் வாழ்க்கை)க்கு முன்பு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையின் இன்பம் மிகவும் அற்பமானது.

every soul shall taste of death, and you shall only be paid fully your reward on the resurrection day; then whoever is removed far away from the fire and is made to enter the garden he indeed has attained the object; and the life of this world is nothing but a provision of vanities.
ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும் மரணத்தைச் சுகித்தே ஆகவேண்டும்; அன்றியும் - இறுதித் தீர்ப்பு நாளில் தான், உங்க(ள் செய்கைக)ளுக்குரிய பிரதி பலன்கள் முழுமையாகக் கொடுக்கப்படும்;. எனவே எவர் (நரக) நெருப்பிலிருந்து பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டுச் சுவர்க்கத்தில் பிரவேசிக்குமாறு செய்யப்படுகிறாரோ. அவர் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டார்;. இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை மயக்கத்தை அளிக்கவல்ல (அற்ப இன்பப்) பொருளேயன்றி வேறில்லை.
