இன்னும் இவர்களும் ஒரே ஒரு பேரொளியைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) எதிர் பார்க்கவில்லை. அதில் தாமதமும் இராது.

but verily, it will be but a single (compelling) cry,
ஆனால் (யுக முடிவுக்கு), அது நிச்சயமாக ஒரே ஒரு பயங்கர சப்தம் தான்-

it was naught but a single cry, and lo! they were still.
ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலி! (அவ்வளவு)தான்! அவர்கள் சாம்பலாயினர்.

they do not await but a single cry that will seize them as they wrangle.
அவர்கள் ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலிக்காகக் காத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதைத் தவிர வேறில்லை அவர்கள் வழக்காடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே அது அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்.

there was but a single blast and suddenly they became silent and still.
ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலி! (அவ்வளவு)தான்! அவர்கள் சாம்பலாயினர்.

and our command is but a single [word], like the twinkling of an eye.
நம்முடைய கட்டளை (நிறைவேறுவது) கண் மூடி விழிப்பது போன்ற ஒன்றே அன்றி வேறில்லை.

nor do these await aught but a single cry, there being no delay in it.
இன்னும் இவர்களும் ஒரே ஒரு பேரொளியைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) எதிர் பார்க்கவில்லை. அதில் தாமதமும் இராது.

நம்முடைய கட்டளை (நிறைவேறுவது) கண் மூடி விழிப்பது போன்ற ஒன்றே அன்றி வேறில்லை.

the day they see it, (it will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn!
நிச்சயமாக அதை அவர்கள் காணும் நாளில், மாலையிலோ, அல்லது காலையிலோ ஒரு சொற்ப நேரமேயன்றி, அவர்கள் (இவ்வுலகில்) தங்கியிருக்கவில்லை என்று தோன்றும்.

and people are naught but a single nation, so they disagree; and had not a word already gone forth from your lord, the matter would have certainly been decided between them in respect of that concerning which they disagree.
மனிதர்கள் யாவரும் (ஆதியில்) ஒரே இனத்தவராகவே அன்றி வேறுல்லை; பின்னர் மாறுபட்டுக் கொண்டனர். உமது இறைவனிடமிருந்து (இம்மையின் கூலி மறுமையில் பூரணமாகக் கொடுக்கப்படும் என்ற) ஒரு வார்த்தை முந்தி ஏற்பட்டிருக்காவிட்டால் அவர்கள் எந்த விஷயத்தில் மாறுபட்டிருக்கின்றனரோ, அதைப்பற்றி அவர்களிடையே (இதற்குள்) முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

mankind were but a single [religious] community; then they differed. and were it not for a prior decree of your lord, decision would have been made between them concerning that about which they differ.
