o my people, i fear for you the day of invocation,
และโอ้หมู่ชนของฉันเอ๋ย! ฉันกลัวแทนพวกท่าน เยี่ยงวันแห่งการร้องเรียกหาซึ่งกันและกัน

until, when we grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! they make humble invocation with a loud voice.
จนกระทั่งเมื่อเราได้คร่าเอาชีวิตพวกที่อยู่ในความสุขสำราญของพวกเขาด้วยการลงโทษ เมื่อนั้นพวกเขาก็ตะโกนร้องขอความช่วยเหลือ

and i will leave you and those you invoke other than allah and will invoke my lord. i expect that i will not be in invocation to my lord unhappy."
“และฉันจะปลีกตัวออกจากพวกท่านและสิ่งที่พวกท่านวิงวอนขออื่นจากอัลลอฮ์ และฉันจะวิงวอนขอพระเจ้าของฉัน หวังว่าด้วยการวิวอนขอต่อพระเจ้าของฉัน จะไม่ทำให้ฉันได้รับความทุกข์”

and who is more astray than he who invokes besides allah those who will not respond to him until the day of resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware.
และใครเล่าจะหลงทางมากไปกว่าผู้ที่วิงวอนขออื่นจากอัลลอฮฺที่มันจะไม่ตอบรับ (การวิงวอนของ) เขาจนถึงวันกิยามะฮฺ และพวกมันเฉยเมยต่อการวิงวอนขอของพวกเขา

who is more astray than him who invokes besides allah such [entities] as would not respond to him until the day of resurrection, and who are oblivious of their invocation?
และใครเล่าจะหลงทางมากไปกว่าผู้ที่วิงวอนขออื่นจากอัลลอฮฺที่มันจะไม่ตอบรับ (การวิงวอนของ) เขาจนถึงวันกิยามะฮฺ และพวกมันเฉยเมยต่อการวิงวอนขอของพวกเขา

and if you (o muhammad saw) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, he knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden.
และหากว่าเจ้ากล่าวเสียงดัง เพราะแท้จริงอัลลอฮฺทรงรอบรู้สิ่งเร้นลับ และสิ่งซ่อนเร้น

and your lord said: "invoke me, [i.e. believe in my oneness (islamic monotheism)] (and ask me for anything) i will respond to your (invocation). verily! those who scorn my worship [i.e. do not invoke me, and do not believe in my oneness, (islamic monotheism)] they will surely enter hell in humiliation!"
และพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้าตรัสว่า จงวิงวอนขอต่อข่า ข้าจะตอบรับแก่พวกเจ้า ส่วนบรรดาผู้โอหังกต่อการเคารพภักดีข้านั้น จะเข้าไปอยู่ในนรกอย่างต่ำต้อย
