and assuredly we have propounded for mankind in this qur'an all kinds of similitudes, that haply they may be admonished.
และโดยแน่นอน เราได้ยกไว้ในทุก ๆ อุทาหรณ์ในอัลกุรอานนี้สำหรับมนุษย์เพื่อพวกเขาจะได้ใคร่ครวญ

and assuredly we have destroyed the cities round about you. and we have variously propounded our signs, that haply they might return.
และโดยแน่นอน เราได้ทำลายหมู่บ้านต่าง ๆ ที่อยู่รอบ ๆ พวกเจ้า และเราได้แจกแจงสัญญาณต่าง ๆ หลายต่อหลายครั้ง หวังว่าพวกเขาจะกลับมาสำนึกผิด

and assuredly we have variously propounded for mankind in this qur'an every kind of similitude, yet most men have refused everything except infidelity.
และโดยแน่นอนเราได้อธิบายแก่มนุษย์แล้ว จากทุกอุทาหรณ์ในอัลกุรอานนี้ แต่ส่วนมากของมนุษย์ปฏิเสธไม่ยอมรับนอกจากการไม่ศรัทธา

and assuredly we have variously propounded in this qur'an for mankind every kind of similitude; and man is of all things the most disputing.
และเราได้ชี้แจงแก่มนุษย์ในอัลกรุอานนี้แต่ละตัวอย่าง แต่มนุษย์นั้นชอบโต้เถียงในเรื่องต่างๆ เป็นส่วนใหญ่

beholdest thou not how allah hath propounded the similitude of the clean word? it is like a clean tree, its root firmly fixed, and its branches reaching unto heaven.
เจ้ามิเห็นดอกหรือว่า อัลลอฮทรงยกอุทาหรณ์ไว้ว่า อุปมาคำพูดที่ดีดั่งต้นไม้ที่ดี รากของมันฝังแน่นลึกมั่นคง และกิ่งก้านของมันชูขึ้นไปในท้องฟ้า

and thus we have sent it down, an arabic recitation, and have propounded variously therein of the threats, that haply they may fear, or that it may generate in them some admonition.
และเช่นนั้นแหละ เราได้ให้กุรอานเป็นภาษาอาหรับลงมาแก่เขา และเราได้กล่าวซ้ำในนั้นซึ่งข้อตักเตือน หวังว่าพวกเขาจะมีความยำเกรงหรือเกิดข้อเตือนใจแก่พวกเขา

and assuredly we have propounded for mankind, in this qur'an, every kind of similitude; and if thou bringest unto them a sign, those who disbelieve are sure to say: ye are but followers of falsehood.
และโดยแน่นอนในอัลกุรอานนี้เราได้ยกอุทาหรณ์ไว้ทุกอย่างสำหรับมนุษย์ และหากว่าเจ้านำมาให้พวกเขาสัญญาณหนึ่ง แน่นอน บรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาจะกล่าวว่า “พวกท่านมิใช่ใครอื่น นอกจากเป็นผู้หลอกลวง”
