לכן אתם שמעו נא את משל הזורע׃

וירב לדבר אליהם במשלים לאמר הנה הזורע יצא לזרע׃
and he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, behold, a sower went forth to sow;
ויען ויאמר אליהם הזורע את הזרע הטוב הוא בן האדם׃
he answered and said unto them, he that soweth the good seed is the son of man;
הזורע יצא לזרע את זרעו ובזרעו נפל מן הזרע על יד הדרך וירמס ועוף השמים אכלו׃
a sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
