pooncha - anthropomorphic character in quest of the shadow-forge: andrew's adventure series paperback – february 17, 2009. as the personification of hope and innocence, she is a poximan pooncha residing on planet glorthocks in a faraway galaxy. resembling a small white bush with fur-like bristles, it has a smaller mushroom shaped head whose top stretch out above the diameter of its body. her eyes are well hidden beneath the mushroom like cap and behind the eye lids which opened vertically along the stalk of the plant-like being. however, she cannot really see with her eyes. rather she can only sense the aura of life forces around her. her voice sounds like a high tone warble that echoes within mind. its tone is a sweet, melodious trilling that had the familiarity of a long forgotten song. the notes by themselves did not seem to make any real sense. but when taken together i was finally able to sort out and assemble a meaning from within the melody. as she matures, she develops full, white leaves with a touch of aquamarine tint and has the ability to provide a bioluminescent glow from its stalk, starting from just below its eyes.
