as we know that wood carving is one of the malay art crafts that makes the identity of the malay community more prominent and known to many as a culture in the malay community. the traditional wood carvings contain elements of the original malay culture that can be seen in the form of patterns and designs found on the decorations and accessories in a house or the like.

the above work shows the cradle as a symbol of birth to the millennium era in 2000 and as a clash or assimilation of local and foreign cultures. with the existence of works like this, the malay community has succeeded in elevating malay crafts in the narrative of the modern era in a more recognizable direction. finally, this work successfully uses the craft elements of the malay community as the main subject in the work. subjects such as swings and checkers in the work are icons and objects of malay culture.
