pejabat pendidikan daerah (ppd) merupakan sebuah agensi kerajaan yang mula ditubuhkan pada tahun 1982. antara fungsi utama penubuhan ppd ini adalah bagi mewakili jpn dalam segala urusan pentadbiran jabatan peringkat daerah. terdiri daripada 7 sektor utama iaitu sektor pengurusan, sektor perancangan, sektor pengurusan sekolah, sektor pembelajaran dan sektor pembangunan murid sekaligus melaksanakan 7 perkhidmatan berbeza sebagai fungsi utama sektor pendidikan di daerah pendang.
