کیا وہ کسی کا دل دکھاتا ہے

اور بیشک ہم سب کا دل جلاتے ہیں
"and they are raging furiously against us;

اگر یہ آپ پر اثر نہیں کرتا تو یقین کریں کہ آپ کا دل پتھر کا ہے۔

and assuredly we know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say.

تو تم اپنے رب کے حکم کا انتظار کر و اور اس مچھلی والے کی طرح نہ ہونا جب اس حال میں پکارا کہ اس کا دل گھٹ رہا تھا
be patient thou, then, with thy lord's judgment, and be thou not like him of the fish, when he cried out while he was in anguish.

بیشک وہ جو اپنی آوازیں پست کرتے ہیں رسول اللہ کے پاس وہ ہیں جن کا دل اللہ نے پرہیزگاری کے لیے پرکھ لیا ہے، ان کے لیے بخشش اور بڑا ثواب ہے،
indeed those who lower their voices in the presence of the apostle of allah—they are the ones whose hearts allah has tested for godwariness. for them will be forgiveness and a great reward.

اور کافروں نے کہا کہ اس پر قرآن سارا کا سارا ایک ساتھ ہی کیوں نہ اتارا گیا اسی طرح ہم نے (تھوڑا تھوڑا کرکے) اتارا تاکہ اس سے ہم آپ کا دل قوی رکھیں، ہم نے اسے ٹھہر ٹھہر کر ہی پڑھ سنایا ہے
and the disbelievers say, “why was the qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” this is how we sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and we read it slowly, in stages.
