ایمان والو اللہ سے ڈرو اور سیدھی بات کرو
believers, fear allah and speak the truth:

سو اس سے نرمی سے بات کرو شاید وہ نصیحت حاصل کرے یا ڈر جائے
"and speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear allah."

اگر تم بلند آواز سے بھی بات کرو تو وہ راز سے بھی مخفی تر باتوں کو جاننے والا ہے
and if thou speakest aloud, then lo! he knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden.

اور جب تقسیم کے موقع پر کنبہ کے لوگ اور یتیم اور مسکین آئیں تو اس مال میں سے ان کو بھی کچھ دو اور اُن کے ساتھ بھلے مانسوں کی سی بات کرو
and when the division is attended by kinsmen and orphans and the poor, make provision for them out of it, and speak to them honourable words.

اگر تم پکار کر بات کرو (تو تمہاری مرضی) وہ تو راز کو بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ مخفی بات کو جانتا ہے۔
and if thou speakest aloud, then lo! he knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden.

اور جب تقسیم کے موقع پر رشتہ دار، یتیم اور مسکین موجود ہوں تو انہیں بھی اس (مال) میں سے کچھ دے دو اور ان سے درست اور مناسب طریقہ سے بات کرو۔
and if relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the time of disbursement, give them something from it and speak to them with kindness.
