پھر ان ہواؤں کی جو تندی سے چلتی ہیں

اور بیشک وہ بستی اس راہ پر ہے جو اب تک چلتی ہے،
and indeed that township is upon a road still in use.

پھر تند و تیز ہواؤں کی قَسم جو شدید جھونکوں سے چلتی ہیں،
and by the winds that blow violently,

کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہو کہ کشتی سمندر میں اللہ کے فضل سے چلتی ہے تاکہ وہ تمہیں اپنی کچھ نشانیاں دکھائے؟ در حقیقت اس میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ہر اُس شخص کے لیے جو صبر اور شکر کرنے والا ہو
did you not see that the ship sails on the sea by allah’s grace, so that he may show you some of his signs? indeed in this are signs for every greatly enduring, grateful person.

کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نے تمہارے بس میں کردیا جو کچھ زمین میں ہے اور کشتی کہ دریا میں اس کے حکم سے چلتی ہے اور وہ روکے ہوئے ہے آسمان کو کہ زمین پر نہ گر پڑے مگر اس کے حکم سے، بیشک اللہ آدمیوں پر بڑی مہر والا مہربان ہے
beholdest thou not that allah hath subjected to himself for you whatsoever is on the earth and the ships running in the sea by his command? and he with holdeth the heaven that it fall not on the earth save by his leave. verily allah is, unto mankind, clement, merciful.

کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ جو کچھ زمین میں ہے۔ اللہ نے وہ سب کچھ تمہارے لئے مسخر کر دیا ہے اور کشتی کو بھی جو سمندر میں اس کے حکم سے چلتی ہے۔ اور وہی آسمان کو روکے ہوئے ہے کہ اس کے حکم کے بغیر زمین پر نہ گر پڑے۔ بےشک اللہ لوگوں پر بڑا شفقت والا، بڑا رحمت والا ہے۔
