el present perfect se usa para hablar de una acción que sucedió en un momento no determinado.
the present perfect continuous is used for actions that started in the past and continue in the present. example:

en este caso no empleamos el pasado simple sino el presente perfecto (present perfect).
in this last case we don't use past simple, we use present perfect:
