na popote wendako elekeza uso wako kwenye msikiti mtakatifu. na popote mlipo elekezeni nyuso zenu upande huo ili watu wasiwe na hoja juu yenu, isipokuwa wale walio dhulumu miongoni mwao.
(muhammad) wherever you go, turn your face to the sacred mosque and muslims, wherever you are, turn your faces in the same direction so that no group of people, except the unjust among them, would have any reason against you and so that i may establish my commandments for your people to have proper guidance.

sivyo hivyo! yeyote anaye elekeza uso wake kwa mwenyezi mungu naye ni mtenda mema, basi ana malipo yake kwa mola wake mlezi, wala haitakuwa khofu juu yao wala hawatahuzunika.
aye! whosoever submitteth himself unto allah and he is a well-doer-his hire is with his lord; no fear shall come on them nor shall they grieve.

basi elekeza uso wako upande wa msikiti mtakatifu; na popote mnapokuwa zielekezeni nyuso zenu upande huo; na hakika wale walio pewa kitabu wanajua kwamba hiyo ni haki itokayo kwa mola wao mlezi.
and wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction. certainly, the people who were given the scriptures (i.e. jews and the christians) know well that, that (your turning towards the direction of the ka'bah at makkah in prayers) is the truth from their lord.

basi tutakuelekeza kwenye kibla ukipendacho. basi elekeza uso wako upande wa msikiti mtakatifu; na popote mnapokuwa zielekezeni nyuso zenu upande huo; na hakika wale walio pewa kitabu wanajua kwamba hiyo ni haki itokayo kwa mola wao mlezi.
we observe you turning your face, several times towards heaven (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); so we will definitely make you turn (for prayer) towards a qiblah which pleases you; therefore now turn your face towards the sacred mosque (in mecca); and o muslims, wherever you may be, turn your faces (for prayer) towards it only; and those who have received the book surely know that this is the truth from their lord; and allah is not unaware of their deeds.

henceforth, wheresoever you may be, turn your face at prayer towards it. the people who were given the book know it well that the commandment (about the change of giblah) is in fact from their lord, and is based on the truth, but allah is not unaware of what they are doing (in spite of this)
