(நபியே!) எவருக்கு அல்லாஹ்வும் அருள் புரிந்து, நீரும் அவர் மீது அருள் புரிந்தீரோ, அவரிடத்தில் நீர்; "அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து நீர் உம் மனைவியை (விவாக விலக்குச் செய்து விடாமல்) உம்மிடமே நிறுத்தி வைத்துக் கொள்ளும்" என்று சொன்ன போது அல்லாஹ் வெளியாக்க இருந்ததை, மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து நீர் உம்முடைய மனத்தில் மறைத்து வைத்திருந்தீர்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவன் தான், நீர் பயப்படுவதற்குத் தகுதியுடையவன்; ஆகவே ஜைது அவளை விவாக விலக்கு செய்துவிட்ட பின்னர் நாம் அவளை உமக்கு மணம் செய்வித்தோம்; ஏனென்றால் முஃமின்களால் (சுவீகரித்து) வளர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள், தம் மனைவிமார்களை விவாகரத்துச் செய்து விட்டால், அ(வர்களை வளர்த்த)வர்கள் அப்பெண்களை மணந்து கொள்வதில் யாதொரு தடையுமிருக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்காக (இது) நடைபெற்றே தீர வேண்டிய அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளையாகும்.
