ཕྱིན་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་མེ་ཏོག་གིས་མངོན་པར་གཏོར་ཏེ།
on his arrival, he strewed the flowers before the blessed one

བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་ཡན་ལག་བདུན་གྱི་མེ་ཏོག་གིས་ཕྱུག་པ། འཕགས་པའི་ནོར་བདུན་སྟོན་པ།
who is rich with the flower of awakening’s seven branches; who displays the seven treasures of a noble being;

དེ་གཉིས་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་གྱིས་སྟེང་གི་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མེ་ཏོག་དག་ཐུ་ཞིང་འདོང་བ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཐོང་ནས་དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ།
when the monks saw the two novices miraculously flying through the air, picking flowers, they asked one another,

ནས་དེ་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཚལ་དུ་སོང་བ་དང་། དེ་ན་དགེ་ཚུལ་ཞིག་མེ་ཏོག་ཐུ་བ་དེ་དེས་མཐོང་ནས་ཁྱེའུ་དེས་སྨྲས་པ།
with that, he set out for jetavana, where he saw a novice picking flowers and said,

དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱེའུ་འདི་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་དགེ་སློང་དག་ལ་ལོ་མ་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་དག་འབུལ་ན།
“if these two boys offer the monks herbs, flowers, and fruits,

ཁྱིམ་དེའི་སྟེང་ན་བུ་མོ་ཞིག་འདུག་པ་དེས་དེའི་སྟེང་དུ་མེ་ཏོག་གི་ཆུན་པོ་འཕངས་པ་དང་། དེས་བུ་མོ་དེ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །
where a girl sitting on the house’s roof threw down a bouquet of flowers to catch his notice.

རྩ་བ་དང་། སྡོང་བུ་དང་། ལོ་མ་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དང་། འབྲས་བུའི་སྨན་དག་གིས་རིམ་གྲོ་བྱས་ན།
although the other monks ministered to him with medicinal roots, stalks, leaves, flowers, and fruits,

དེ་བྱས་པ་ཤེས་པས་འཚོ་བྱེད་ལ་ལོ་མ་དག་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་དག་དང་། སོ་ཤིང་དག་སྟོབས་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །
knowing what had been done for him, he gave the physician sprigs, flowers, fruits, and sticks of neem.

དེ་དག་གིས་དགེ་འདུན་གྱི་ཤིང་ལྗོན་པ་དང་། ལོ་མ་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་དག་གང་ཟག་གི་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་དུ་སྤྱད་པས་
they used trees, leaves, flowers, and fruit belonging to the saṅgha for their own ends.

ལོ་མ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཐག་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་།
leaves, flowers, fruit, rope,

ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སེམས་ཅན་ཤིང་ལྗོན་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ལོ་མ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་འདྲ་བ་གང་དག་མཐོང་བ་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་དགེ་སློང་དག་ཏུ་གྱུར་པ་ན།
“when those beings you saw who were shaped like trees, leaves, flowers, and fruit were monks,

དེ་ལ་རྩ་བ་དང་། སྡོང་བུ་དང་། འདབ་མ་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དང་། འབྲས་བུའི་སྨན་དག་གིས་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱས་ཀྱང་ནད་དེ་ཉེ་བར་ཞི་བར་མ་གྱུར་
though upatiṣya ministered to the master with medicinal roots, stalks, leaves, flowers, and fruit, the illness would not subside.

ཇི་ཙམ་ན་སེམས་ཅན་རྩིག་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཀ་བ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཤིང་ལྗོན་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ལོ་མ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། འབྲས་བུ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཐག་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཕྱགས་མ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཕོར་པ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། གཏུན་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། ཕྲུ་བ་འདྲ་བ་དག་དང་། རྐེད་པ་ཆད་པ་ཆུ་རྒྱུས་ཀྱིས་བཟུང་བ་དག་འདོང་བ་ཡང་མཐོང་ངོ་།
on his journey, the venerable saṅgharakṣita saw beings shaped like walls, pillars, trees, leaves, flowers, fruit, rope, brooms, bowls, mortars and pestles, pots, and even beings cut at the waist, their bodies held together by tendons.
