(hu) meggyőződésem, hogy a jelenlegi gazdasági válság gyökere a túlfogyasztásban, az ökológiai válságban gyökerezik, ide kell leásnunk a megoldás érdekében is.
(hu) i am convinced that the current economic crisis has its roots in over consumption and in the environmental crisis, and that it is in this area that we must seek the solution as well.

ezért azt sürgetem, hogy bármilyen intézkedés esetén végezzenek több kutatást valamennyi tagállamban és az egész európai unióban, hogy többet derítsenek ki arról, hogy ezek a fiatalok miért érzik szükségesnek azt, hogy túl sokat igyanak. miért isznak túl sokat az otthonukban elszigetelt idős emberek? miért isznak a férfiak munka közben? amíg nem derítjük ki ennek a túlfogyasztásnak a valódi okait, nem fogunk tudni helyes válaszokat adni.
i am therefore urging that, in any action that is taken, more research is done in each of the member states and in the european union as a whole to find out more about why these young people feel the need to drink to excess. why, too, do old people, isolated at home, drink too much? why do men drink at work? until we have found out the real reasons for this over-consumption, we shall not be able to provide proper answers.
