সুতরাং তাদের মন ্ দ কাজের শাস ্ তি তাদেরই মাথায় আপতিত হয়েছে এবং তারা যে ঠাট ্ টা বিদ ্ রুপ করত , তাই উল ্ টে তাদের উপর পড়েছে ।

so the evil things that they wrought. smote them , and they were encompassed by that they mocked at .
সুতরাং তাদের মন ্ দ কাজের শাস ্ তি তাদেরই মাথায় আপতিত হয়েছে এবং তারা যে ঠাট ্ টা বিদ ্ রুপ করত , তাই উল ্ টে তাদের উপর পড়েছে ।

then his wife drew near vociferating , and smote her face , and said : an old barren woman !
অতঃপর তাঁর স ্ ত ্ রী চীৎকার করতে করতে সামনে এল এবং মুখ চাপড়িয়ে বললঃ আমি তো বৃদ ্ ধা , বন ্ ধ ্ যা ।

then his wife came forward , making moan , and smote her face , and cried : a barren old woman !
অতঃপর তাঁর স ্ ত ্ রী চীৎকার করতে করতে সামনে এল এবং মুখ চাপড়িয়ে বললঃ আমি তো বৃদ ্ ধা , বন ্ ধ ্ যা ।

then came forward his wife , clamouring , and she smote her face , and said , ' an old woman , barren ! '
অতঃপর তাঁর স ্ ত ্ রী চীৎকার করতে করতে সামনে এল এবং মুখ চাপড়িয়ে বললঃ আমি তো বৃদ ্ ধা , বন ্ ধ ্ যা ।

but the evils that they earned smote them ; and such of these as do wrong , the evils that they earn will smite them ; they cannot escape .
কাজেই তারা যা অর ্ জন করেছিল তার মন ্ দ তাদের পাকড়াও করল । আর এদের মধ ্ যে যারা অন ্ যায়াচরণ করছে তাদের উপরেও তারা যা অর ্ জন করেছে তার মন ্ দ অচিরেই আপতিত হবে , আর তারা এড়িয়ে যাবার পাত ্ র নয় ।

in that the evils of that they earned smote them . the evildoers of these men , they too shall be smitten by the evils -- of that they earned ; they will not be able to frustrate it .
কাজেই তারা যা অর ্ জন করেছিল তার মন ্ দ তাদের পাকড়াও করল । আর এদের মধ ্ যে যারা অন ্ যায়াচরণ করছে তাদের উপরেও তারা যা অর ্ জন করেছে তার মন ্ দ অচিরেই আপতিত হবে , আর তারা এড়িয়ে যাবার পাত ্ র নয় ।

but his wife came forward ( laughing ) aloud : she smote her forehead and said : " a barren old woman ! "
অতঃপর তাঁর স ্ ত ্ রী চীৎকার করতে করতে সামনে এল এবং মুখ চাপড়িয়ে বললঃ আমি তো বৃদ ্ ধা , বন ্ ধ ্ যা ।

and was it so , when a disaster smote you , though ye had smitten ( them with a disaster ) twice ( as great ) , that ye said : how is this ? say ( unto them , o muhammad ) : it is from yourselves .
কি ! যখন কোনো দুর ্ যোগ তোমাদের উপরে ঘটলো , ইতিপূর ্ বে তোমরা আঘাত করেছিলে এর দ ্ বিগুণ পরিমাণ , তোমরা বলতে থাকলে -- ''এ কোথা থেকে?’’ বলো -- ''এসব তোমাদের নিজেদের থেকে।’’ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ্ সব-কিছুর উপরে সর্বশক্তিমান।
