မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင် မျက်နှာကြက်၌တည်၍ မြေကြီးလင်းစရာ အလင်းအိမ်ဖြစ်စေဟု အမိန့်တော်ရှိ သည့်အတိုင်းဖြစ်လေ၏။

when i looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when i waited for light, there came darkness.
သို့သော်လည်း၊ ငါသည် ကောင်းကျိုးကိုမြော်လင့် သောအခါ ဘေးရောက်လာ၏။ အလင်းကိုတောင့်တ သောအခါ မှောင်မိုက်ဖြစ်၏။

စင်ကြယ်သော မီးခုံမှစ၍၊ ပြင်ဆင်ရသော မီးခွက်များ၊ မီးခုံတန်ဆာ ရှိသမျှနှင့် မီးထွန်းစရာ ဆီကို၎င်း၊

let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
ညဦးယံကြယ်တို့သည် မိုက်ပါစေ။ ထိုညဉ့်သည် အလင်းကိုတောင့်တ၍ မရပါစေနှင့်။ နံနက်မိုဃ်းလင်း ကို မမြင်ပါစေနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊

therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
ထို့ကြောင့်၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်စွာ စီရင်ခြင်းသည် ငါ တို့နှင့်ဝေး၏။ တရားသည်လည်း ငါတို့ကိုမမှီ။ အလင်းကို မြော်လင့်သောအခါ ရှင်းလင်းခြင်းမရှိ။ ရောင်ခြည်ကို မြော်လင့်သော်လည်း၊ မှောင်မိုက်၌ သွားလာရကြ၏။

woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
မကောင်းကိုအကောင်း၊ အကောင်းကိုမကောင်း ဟု ခေါ်တတ်သောသူ၊ အလင်းအရာ၌အမိုက်၊ အမိုက် အရာ၌ အလင်းကို၎င်း၊ အချိုအရာ၌ အခါး၊ အခါးအရာ ၌အချိုကို၎င်း၊ အလွဲယူတတ်သော သူတို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာ ရှိကြ၏။

give glory to the lord your god, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
မိုဃ်းမချုပ်မှီ၊ မိုက်သောတောင်ပေါ်မှာ သင်တို့ သည် ထိခိုက်၍ မလဲမှီ၊ အလင်းကို မြော်လင့်သောအခါ၊ သေမင်းအရိပ်၊ ထူထပ်သော မှောင်မိုက်ကို ဖြစ်စေတော် မမူမှီ၊ သင်တို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဂုဏ်တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းကြလော့။
