ကျေးဇူးမပြု မကယ်တင်နိုင်၊ အချည်းနှီးဖြစ်သော အရာတို့နောက်သို့ လမ်းလွှဲ၍ မလိုက်ကြနှင့်။ ထိုသို့သောအရာသည် အချည်းနှီး သက်သက်ဖြစ်၏။

for then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

and let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the lord go out before thee, to smite the host of the philistines.

in that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then i will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

for then the king of babylon's army besieged jerusalem: and jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of judah's house.

but we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of judah, and in the streets of jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
ငါတို့မှစ၍ ငါတို့ဘိုးဘေး၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်၊ မှူးမတ် တို့သည် ယုဒမြို့များ၊ ယေရုရှလင်လမ်းများ၌ ပြုဘူး သကဲ့သို့၊ ကောင်းကင်မိဖုရားအဘို့ နံ့သာပေါင်းကို မီးရှို့၍၊ သွန်းလောင်းရာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာကိုပြုခြင်းငှါ၊ ကိုယ် အလိုအလျောက် စီရင်သည်အတိုင်း ဆက်ဆက်ပြုမည်။ အထက်က ဝစွာစားရကြ၏။ ဘေးနှင့်လွတ်၍ ချမ်းသာ စွာ နေရကြ၏။

and she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, i will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
သူသည် ရည်းစားတို့ကို လိုက်သော်လည်း မမှီ၊ ရှာသော်လည်း မတွေ့ဘဲ နေရသောအခါ၊ လင်ဟောင်းထံ သို့ ငါပြန်သွားမည်။ ယခုနေရာထက် အရင်နေရာသာ၍ ကောင်းသည်ဟု ဆိုလိမ့်မည်။
