i am for peace: but when i speak, they are for war.
ako uyon sa pakigdait: apan kong ako mosulti, sila alang sa pakiggubat.

let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
busa kab-uton ta ang makaamot sa pagdinaitay ug sa paglig-onay sa usa ug usa.

and ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
ug kamo mangita kanako, ug makakaplag kanako, sa diha nga kamo mangita kanako uban ang inyong bugos nga kasingkasing,

hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
nakaadto ka ba sa mga tubod sa ilalum sa dagat? kun nakalakaw ka ba sa luklukanan sa kahiladman?

we looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
kita nangita ug pakigdait, apan walay kaayohan nga miabut; ug sa usa ka panahon nangita sa pag-kaayo, ug, ania karon, ang kaguol!

for inquire, i pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
kay susiha, ipangamuyo ko kanimo, ang panahon nga ming-agi, ug magpahimulos ka sa imong kaugalingon niadtong ginapangita sa ilang mga amahan.

and he said, whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.

behold, for peace i had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
ania karon, kana tungod sa akong pakigdait nga ako may dakung kapaitan: apan ikaw adunay gugma sa akong kalag giluwas mo kini gikan sa gahong sa kadunoton; kay tanan nako nga mga sala imong gisalibay sa imong likod.

and one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the lord god.
ug usa ka nating carnero gikan sa panon, gikan sa duruha ka gatus, gikan sa tubigon nga mga sibsibanan sa israel;-- alang sa usa ka halad-nga-kalan-on, ug alang sa usa ka halad-nga-sinunog, ug alang sa mga halad-sa-pakigdait, sa pagbuhat sa pagtabon-sa-sala alang kanila, nagaingon ang ginoong jehova.

and hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the lord.

as i live, saith the lord god, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
