ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުން އެއުރެންނަށް އެނގެނީ ބޭރުފުށުގެ ކަންތަކެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންވަނީ، آخرة ދުވަހާމެދު غافل ވެގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

how many a generation we have destroyed before them, who were superior in furnishings and appearance!
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

they only know the outward appearance of the life of this world, and they are neglectful of the hereafter.
ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުން އެއުރެންނަށް އެނގެނީ ބޭރުފުށުގެ ކަންތަކެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންވަނީ، آخرة ދުވަހާމެދު غافل ވެގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

when you see them, their appearance impresses you. and when they speak, you listen to what they say.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އެއުރެން ފެނިވަޑައިގެންފިނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ހަށިތައް ކަލޭގެފާނު عجائب ކުރުވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ވާހަކަ ދައްކާނަމަ، އެއުރެން ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ ކަލޭގެފާނު އައްސަވަމުއެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ (ފާރެއްގައި) ލައްގާފައިވާ ލަކުޑިތަކެއްފަދަ ބަޔެކެވެ. އެއުރެން ހީކުރަނީ، ކޮންމެ ހަޅޭކެއް އެއީ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އަންނަ حملة އެއް ކަމުގައެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ عداوة ތެރިންނެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނާމެދު ރައްކާތެރިވެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! اللَّه، އެއުރެންނަށް لعنة ލައްވާހުށްޓެވެ. އެއުރެން حق ން އެއްކިބާވަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and how many of the generations have we destroyed before them who were better in respect of goods and outward appearance!
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

and how many a generation have we destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance?
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

and how many a generation have we destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? *chapter: 19
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

and how many a generation (past nations) have we destroyed before them, who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance?
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

(turning to his nobles) he said: "change the appearance of her throne. let us see if she is rightly guided, or is not guided at all."
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އެކަމަނާއަށް އެނގިވަޑައިގަނޭތޯ، ނުވަތަ އެނގިވަޑައިނުގަނޭތޯ ބެއްލެވުމަށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަމަނާގެ تخت ގެ ސިފަ ބަދަލުކޮށްލާށެވެ!
