ފަހެ، ތަރިތަކުން އޭގެ އަލިކަން ފުއްސަވައިފިހިނދެވެ.

if only the people of the book had believed and been righteous, we should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ފޮތުގެ أهل ވެރިން إيمان ވެ، تقوى ވެރިވީނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ކުށްތައް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިން ފުއްސެވީމުހެވެ. އަދި نعمة ގެ ސުވަރުގެތަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ވެއްދެވީމުހެވެ.

had we wished we would have blotted out their eyes: then, were they to advance towards the path, how would have they seen?
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ލޯތައް ކަނުކުރައްވައިފީމުހެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން މަގުން ދިއުމަށް އަވަސްވެގަންނާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ (އެހިނދު) އެއުރެންނަށް ފެންނާނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

if it had been our will, we could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the path, but how could they have seen?
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ލޯތައް ކަނުކުރައްވައިފީމުހެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން މަގުން ދިއުމަށް އަވަސްވެގަންނާނެތެވެ. ފަހެ (އެހިނދު) އެއުރެންނަށް ފެންނާނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

we appointed the night and the day as two signs. then, we blotted out the sign of the night and made the sign of the day to see, so that you seek the bounty of your lord and that you know the number of years and the reckoning.
ރޭގަނޑާއި، ދުވާލަކީ، ދެ ހެކިކަމުގައި، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، ރޭގަނޑުގެ ހެކިން نور ފުހެލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ދުވާލުގެ ހެކި އެއީ (ތަންތަން) ދައްކައިދޭ އެއްޗެއްކަމުގައި ލެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، فضل ވަންތަކަން އެދި އުޅުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި އަހަރުތަކުގެ عدد އާއި، حساب، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދެނެގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ކޮންމެ ކަމެއްމެ تفصيل ކޮށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވީމެވެ.

they even solicited of him his guests, whereat we blotted out their eyes, [saying,] ‘taste my punishment and my warnings!’
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މެހުމާނުންނާމެދު، ނުބައިކަންތައް ކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުން އެއުރެން އެދިގަތެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ލޯތައް ކަނުކުރެއްވީމެވެ. (އަދި އެންގެވީމެވެ.) ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އާއި، إنذار ގެ ރަހަ ލިބިގަންނާށެވެ!

and if only the people of the scripture (jews and christians) had believed (in muhammad saw) and warded off evil (sin, ascribing partners to allah) and had become al-muttaqun (the pious - see v. 2:2) we would indeed have blotted out their sins and admitted them to gardens of pleasure (in paradise).
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ފޮތުގެ أهل ވެރިން إيمان ވެ، تقوى ވެރިވީނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ކުށްތައް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކިބައިން ފުއްސެވީމުހެވެ. އަދި نعمة ގެ ސުވަރުގެތަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ވެއްދެވީމުހެވެ.
