ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

and they overtook them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

an explosion struck them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

then they followed them at the sunrise;
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

and the cry seized them at the sunrise,
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

at sunrise they set off in pursuit of them
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

at sunrise a dreadful shout seized them.
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise,
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

the people of the pharaoh pursued them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔަކަށް ފެނުނުހިނދު، موسى ގެފާނުގެ أصحاب ން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ތިމަންމެން އަތުލައިގަންނާނެތެވެ.

so the firaun’s people followed them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން (އެބަހީ: فرعون އާއި އޭނާގެ قوم ގެމީހުން) އަނެއްބައި މީހުންގެ ފަހަތުންގޮސް އަރައިހަމަކުރީ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައެވެ.

we made the mountains join him in glorifying us at sunset and sunrise;
ހަމަކަށަަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފަރުބަދަތައް خدمة ތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެތަކެތި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ހަވީރާއި، ހެނދުނުގައި تسبيح ދަންނަވަތެވެ.

and thereupon the blast [of our punishment] overtook them at sunrise.
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

so the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;
ފަހެ، އިރުއެރި ވަގުތުގައި ގަދަފަދައަޑު (އައިސް) އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރިއެވެ.

verily we so subjected the mountains that they should hallow us with him at nightfall and sunrise.
ހަމަކަށަަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފަރުބަދަތައް خدمة ތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެތަކެތި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ހަވީރާއި، ހެނދުނުގައި تسبيح ދަންނަވަތެވެ.

we subjected the mountains to exalt (me) with him in the evening and at sunrise,
ހަމަކަށަަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފަރުބަދަތައް خدمة ތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެތަކެތި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ހަވީރާއި، ހެނދުނުގައި تسبيح ދަންނަވަތެވެ.

bear then with patience what they say. exalt with the praise of your lord before sunrise and before sunset.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ދައްކާ ވާހަކަތަކަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކެތްކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އިރު އެރުމުގެ ކުރީގައްޔާއި، އޮސްފުހުމުގެ ކުރީގައި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް، حمد އާއެކު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވެ، ނަމާދު ކުރައްވާށެވެ!

lo! we subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their lord) with him at nightfall and sunrise,
ހަމަކަށަަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފަރުބަދަތައް خدمة ތެރި ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އެތަކެތި، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި ހަވީރާއި، ހެނދުނުގައި تسبيح ދަންނަވަތެވެ.

(muhammad), exercise patience against what they say. glorify your lord with his praise before sunrise and sunset.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ދައްކާ ވާހަކަތަކަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކެތްކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އިރު އެރުމުގެ ކުރީގައްޔާއި، އޮސްފުހުމުގެ ކުރީގައި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް، حمد އާއެކު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވެ، ނަމާދު ކުރައްވާށެވެ!

so i swear by the lord of all [the three hundred and sixty (360)] points of sunrise and sunset in the east and the west that surely we are able
ހަމަހިލާ އެހެންނަކުން ނުވާނެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ހެއްދެވީ، އެއުރެން ދަންނަ އެއްޗަކުންނެވެ.

so bear patiently with what they say. glorify your lord, praising him before sunrise and before sunset, and in the watches of the night, and glorify him and at the ends of the day that you may attain to happiness.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ބުނާބަސްތަކަށް ކަލޭގެފާނު ކެތްކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި އިރުއެރުމުގެ ކުރީގައްޔާއި އަދި އިރުއޮއްސުމުގެ ކުރީގައި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް حمد އާއެކު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! (އެބަހީ: ނަމާދު ކުރައްވާށެވެ!) އަދި ރޭގަނޑުގެ ވަގުތުތަކުން ބައެއްގައްޔާއި، ދުވާލުގެ ދެކޮޅުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު تسبيح ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! (އެބަހީ: ނަމާދު ކުރައްވާށެވެ!) އެއީ ކަލޭގެފާނު ރުހިވަޑައިގަތުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. (ނޯޓު: މި آية ގައި فرض ފަސްނަމާދުގެ ވަގުތުތައް بيان ވެގެންވާ ކަމުގައި مفسّر ން ލިޔުއްވާފައިވެއެވެ.)
