o you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. and know that allah is with the righteous.
信仰する者よ，あなたがたに近い不信者と戦え。そして，あなたがたが意志堅固で力強いことを，かれらに知らせなさい。アッラーは主を畏れる者と共におられることを知れ。

o believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you; and let them find in you a harshness; and know that god is with the godfearing.
信仰する者よ，あなたがたに近い不信者と戦え。そして，あなたがたが意志堅固で力強いことを，かれらに知らせなさい。アッラーは主を畏れる者と共におられることを知れ。

musa said: be that between me and thee: whichsoever of the two terms i shall fulfil, it shall be no harshness to me; and of that which we say allah is trustee.
かれ（ムーサー）は言った。「それはわたしとあなたの間（の約束）であります。2つの期限のどちらを満期としても，わたしを責めないで下さい。アッラーが，わたしたちの言ったことの，証人であられます。」

say, “he is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to cause you to fight each other by dividing you into different groups, and make you taste the harshness of one another”; observe how we explain the verses so that they may understand.
言ってやるがいい。「かれはあなたがたの上から，また足許から，懲罰を下すことが出来，またあなたがたを仲間割れさせて混乱に陥らせ，またある者に，外の暴虐を味わわせることも出来る。」われは，如何に印を示すかを見なさい。恐らくかれらは会得するであろう。
