[to divine dispensation], if you are truthful?
اور اس قول میں سچے ہو تو (ذرا) اس روح کو تو لوٹاؤ

it is but a divine revelation, which is revealed to him.
اس کا کلام وہی وحی ہے جو مسلسل نازل ہوتی رہتی ہے

by those who publish [the divine messages] far and wide,
اور (بادلوں کو) اٹھا کر پھیلاتی ہیں

but he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve.
البتہ جو شخص صبر سے کام لے اور درگزر کرے، تو یہ بڑی اولوالعزمی کے کاموں میں سے ہے

nor did the people of the book disagreed among themselves until after receiving the ancient divine testaments.
(ان) اہل کتاب میں (نبی آخر الزماں صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی نبوت و رسالت پر ایمان لانے اور آپ کی شانِ اقدس کو پہچاننے کے بارے میں پہلے) کوئی پھوٹ نہ پڑی تھی مگر اس کے بعد کہ جب (بعثتِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی) روشن دلیل ان کے پاس آگئی (تو وہ باہم بٹ گئے کوئی ان پر ایمان لے آیا اور کوئی حسد کے باعث منکر و کافر ہوگیا)،

we afflicted them with punishment. both people had clear (divine) authority among them.
تو دیکھ لو کہ ہم نے بھی اُن سے انتقام لیا، اور اِن دونوں قوموں کے اجڑے ہوئے علاقے کھلے راستے پر واقع ہیں

“i receive only the divine revelations, that i am purely a clear herald of warning.”
مجھ کو تو وحی کے ذریعہ سے یہ باتیں صرف اس لیے بتائی جاتی ہیں کہ میں کھلا کھلا خبردار کرنے والا ہوں"

and we have built the heaven with hands (the divine power), and it is we who give the expanse.
آسمان کو ہم نے (اپنے) ہاتھوں سے بنایا ہے اور یقیناً ہم کشادگی کرنے والے ہیں

certain [divine] precedents have passed before you. so travel through the land and observe how was the fate of the deniers.
تم سے پہلے (گذشتہ امتوں کے لئے قانونِ قدرت کے) بہت سے ضابطے گزر چکے ہیں سو تم زمین میں چلا پھرا کرو اور دیکھا کرو کہ جھٹلانے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا،

we relate to you the best narrative because we have sent the divine revelation of this qur’an, to you; although surely you were unaware before this.
(اے حبیب!) ہم آپ سے ایک بہترین قصہ بیان کرتے ہیں اس قرآن کے ذریعہ جسے ہم نے آپ کی طرف وحی کیا ہے، اگرچہ آپ اس سے قبل (اس قصہ سے) بے خبر تھے،

woe, that day, to those who deny [(allah, his angels, his books, his messengers, the day of resurrection, and al-qadar (divine preordainments)].
اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی بڑی خرابی ہے
