if ye love me, keep my commandments.
ܐܢ ܪܚܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܦܘܩܕܢܝ ܛܪܘ

for ye know what commandments we gave you by the lord jesus.
ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܝܗܒܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ

and hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
ܘܒܗܕܐ ܡܪܓܫܝܢܢ ܕܝܕܥܢܝܗܝ ܐܢ ܢܛܪܝܢܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ

but in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
ܘܤܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܕܚܠܝܢ ܠܝ ܟܕ ܡܠܦܝܢ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ

howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctines the commandments of men.
ܘܤܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܕܚܠܝܢ ܠܝ ܟܕ ܡܠܦܝܢ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܕܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ

not giving heed to jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
ܘܠܐ ܢܬܪܡܘܢ ܠܫܘܥܝܬܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܠܦܘܩܕܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܤܢܝܢ ܫܪܪܐ

by this we know that we love the children of god, when we love god, and keep his commandments.
ܘܒܗܕܐ ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܕܡܚܒܝܢܢ ܠܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܐ ܕܠܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܒܝܢܢ ܘܥܒܕܝܢܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ

and they were both righteous before god, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the lord blameless.
ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܙܕܝܩܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܘܒܟܐܢܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܥܕܠܝ

he that saith, i know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܝܕܥܬܗ ܘܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܢܛܪ ܕܓܠܐ ܗܘ ܘܫܪܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܗ

and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
ܘܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܫܐܠܝܢܢ ܢܤܒܝܢܢ ܡܢܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܛܪܝܢܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܘܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܤܥܪܝܢܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ

and jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, hear, o israel; the lord our god is one lord:
ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܩܕܡܝ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܫܡܥ ܐܝܤܪܝܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܕ ܗܘ

and he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. and hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the spirit which he hath given us.
ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܢܛܪ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܒܗ ܡܬܢܛܪ ܘܗܘ ܫܪܐ ܒܗ ܘܒܗܕܐ ܡܤܬܟܠܝܢܢ ܕܫܪܐ ܒܢ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܗ ܗܝ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܢ

and the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of god, and have the testimony of jesus christ.
ܘܪܓܙ ܬܢܝܢܐ ܥܠ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܩܪܒܐ ܥܡ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܙܪܥܗ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܛܪܝܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܤܗܕܘܬܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ

having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
ܘܒܥܠܕܒܒܘܬܐ ܒܒܤܪܗ ܘܢܡܘܤܐ ܕܦܘܩܕܐ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܒܛܠ ܕܠܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܢܒܪܐ ܒܩܢܘܡܗ ܠܚܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܫܝܢܐ

thou knowest the commandments, do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, defraud not, honour thy father and mother.
ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܬ ܠܐ ܬܓܘܪ ܠܐ ܬܓܢܘܒ ܠܐ ܬܩܛܘܠ ܘܠܐ ܬܤܗܕ ܤܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܓܠܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܛܠܘܡ ܝܩܪ ܠܐܒܘܟ ܘܠܐܡܟ

and he said unto him, why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, god: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܢܐ ܩܪܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ ܛܒܐ ܠܝܬ ܛܒܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܚܕ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܛܪ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ

a new commandment i give unto you, that ye love one another; as i have loved you, that ye also love one another.
ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܚܒܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܚܒܬܟܘܢ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܚܒܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ
