how can they benefit from admonition, seeing that a messenger had already come to them explaining things clearly?
nini faida ya kukumbuka kwao? na alikwisha wafikia mtume mwenye kubainisha.

can ye (o ye men of faith) entertain the hope that they will believe in you?- seeing that a party of them heard the word of allah, and perverted it knowingly after they understood it.

na hapo kabla yake waliikataa, na wakiyatupilia mbali maneno ya ghaibu kutoka mahali mbali.

how can ye reject the faith in allah?- seeing that ye were without life, and he gave you life; then will he cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to him will ye return.
vipi mnamkanusha mwenyezi mungu na hali mlikuwa wafu akakufufueni! kisha atakufisheni, tena atakufufueni, kisha kwake mtarejeshwa?.

the unbelievers will be addressed: "greater was the aversion of allah to you than (is) your aversion to yourselves, seeing that ye were called to the faith and ye used to refuse."
kwa hakika wale walio kufuru watanadiwa: bila ya shaka kukuchukieni mwenyezi mungu ni kukubwa kuliko kujichukia nyinyi nafsi zenu, mlipo kuwa mnaitwa kwenye imani nanyi mkakataa.

also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: thus hath allah ordained (prohibitions) against you: except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
na mmehalilishiwa wasio kuwa hao, mtafute kwa mali yenu kwa kuowa pasina kuzini. kama mnavyo starehe nao, basi wapeni mahari yao kwa kuwa ni waajibu.
