எனவே, அவர்களை ஒரு காலம் வரை தம் அறியாமையிலேயே ஆழ்ந்திருக்க விட்டுவிடும்.

wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season.
எனவே, அவர்களை ஒரு காலம் வரை தம் அறியாமையிலேயே ஆழ்ந்திருக்க விட்டுவிடும்.

aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers.
ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் இதைக் குறித்து அறியாமையிலேயே (ஆழ்ந்து) கிடக்கின்றன இன்னும், அவர்களுக்கு இதுவன்றி (வேறு தீய) காரியங்களும் உண்டு. அதனை அவர்கள் செய்து வருகிறார்கள்.

they shall come out running in bewilderment, with their heads raised, their gaze not returning to them; and their hearts will not have any calm.
(அந்நாளில்) தங்களுடைய சிரங்களை (எப்பக்கமும் பாராமல்) நிமிர்த்தியவர்களாகவும், விரைந்தோடுபவர்களாகவும் அவர்கள் இருப்பார்கள்; (நிலை குத்திய) அவர்களின் பார்வை அவர்கள் பக்கம் திரும்பாது. இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் (திடுக்கங்க கொண்டு) சூணியமாக இருக்கும்.

ask them (o muharnmad!): "shall we invoke, apart from allah, something that can neither benefit nor harm us, and thus be turned back on our heels after allah has guided us? like the one whom the evil ones have lured into bewilderment in the earth, even though he has friends who call him to true guidance saying: "come to us." say: "surely allah's guidance is the only true guidance, and we have been commanded to submit ourselves to the lord of the entire universe,
(நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்; "நமக்கு யாதொரு நன்மையும், தீமையும் செய்ய இயலாத அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றையா நாம் அழைப்போம்? அல்லாஹ் நமக்கு நேர் வழி காட்டியபின்னரும் (நாம் வழிதவறி) நம் பின்புறமே திருப்பப்பட்டுவிடுவோமா? அவ்வாறாயின் ஒருவனுக்கு நண்பர்கள் இருந்து அவனை, அவர்கள் "எங்கள் இடம் வந்து விடு" என நேர்வழி காட்டி அழைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது ஷைத்தான் அவனை வழிதவறச் செய்ததால் பூமியிலே தட்டழிந்து திரிகிறானே அவனைப் போன்று ஆகிவிடுவோம்." இன்னும் கூறும்; "நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் காட்டும் நேர்வழியே நேர் வழியாகும்; அகிலங்களின் இறைவனுக்கே வழிபடுமாறு நாங்கள் ஏவப்பட்டுள்ளோம்."
