அவனே (என்றென்றும்) உயிரோடிருப்பவன்; அவனையன்றி (வேறு) நாயனில்லை - ஆகவே நீங்கள் அவனுக்கே முற்றிலும் வழிபட்டு தூய உள்ளத்தோடு அவனை அழையுங்கள்; அல்ஹம்து லில்லாஹி ரப்பில் ஆலமீன் - அனைத்துப் புகழும் அகிலங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் படைத்துக் காத்துப் பரிபக்குவப்படுத்தும் நாயனான அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகும்.

when they embark on a vessel, they pray to god, devoting their faith to him; but once he has delivered them safely to land, they attribute partners to him.

yet all that they had been commanded was that they serve allah, with utter sincerity, devoting themselves exclusively to him, and that they establish prayer and pay zakah. that is the right faith.
"அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வணக்கத்தை தூய்மையாக்கியவர்களாக (தவறான வழியிலிருந்து விலகி சரியான வழியில்) பிடிப்புள்ளவர்களாக அல்லாஹ்வை அவர்கள் வணங்க வேண்டும், மேலும் தொழுகையை அவர்கள் நிலைநாட்டவேண்டும், மேலும் ஜகாத்தை அவர்கள் வழங்க வேண்டும் என்பதைத் தவிர (வேறெதுவும்) அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடப்படவில்லை. இதுதான் நேரான மார்க்கமாகும்."

devoting yourself to allah, not ascribing any partner to him; and whoever ascribes partners to allah is as if he has fallen from the sky and the birds snatch him or the wind blows him away to a far-off place.
அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் எதையும் இணைவைக்காது அவனுக்கு முற்றிலும் வழிப்பட்டவர்களாக இருங்கள்; இன்னும் எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்கிறானோ, அவன் வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்து பறவைகள் அவனை வாரி எடுத்துச் சென்றது போலும் அல்லது பெருங் காற்றடித்து, அவனை வெகு தொலைவிலுள்ள ஓரிடத்திற்கு அடித்துக் கொண்டு சென்றது போலும் ஆகிவிடுவான்.

when waves, like canopies, cover them, they call upon god, devoting their religion to him. but when he has delivered them to dry land, some of them waver. no one renounces our revelations except the treacherous blasphemer.
