அன்றியும் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல் செய்பவர்(களின் பிரார்த்தனை)களையும் ஏற்று அவர்களுக்குத் தன் அருளை அதிகப்படுத்துகிறான்; இன்னும், நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு கடுமையான வேதனையுண்டு.

not equal are the inactive among the believers—except the disabled—and the strivers in the cause of god with their possessions and their persons. god prefers the strivers with their possessions and their persons above the inactive, by a degree. but god has promised goodness to both. yet god favors the strivers, over the inactive, with a great reward.
ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களில் (நோய், பலஹீனம், முதுமை, பார்வையிழத்தல் போன்ற) எந்தக் காரணமுமின்றி (வீட்டில்) உட்கார்ந்திருப்பவர்களும், தங்களுடைய சொத்துக்களையும், தங்களுடைய உயிர்களையும் (அர்ப்பணித்தவர்களாக)அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போர் புரிபவர்களும் சமமாகமாட்டர்கள் தங்களுடைய பொருட்களையும் தங்களுடைய உயிர்களையும் (அர்ப்பணித்தவர்களாக) அறப்போர் செய்வோரை, உட்கார்ந்திருப்பவர்களைவிட அந்தஸ்தில் அல்லாஹ் மேன்மையாக்கி வைத்துள்ளான்;. எனினும், ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் (அவர்களுடைய உறுதிப்பாட்டுக்குத் தக்கபடி) நன்மையை அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்துள்ளான்;. ஆனால் அறப்போர் செய்வோருக்கோ, (போருக்குச் செல்லாது) உட்கார்ந்திருப்போரைவிட அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான நற்கூலியால் மேன்மையாக்கியுள்ளான்.
