he then ordered, “bring them back to me”; and he began caressing their shins and necks.

"என்னிடம் அவற்றை திரும்ப கொண்டு வாருங்கள் (என்று கூறினார் அவை திரும்ப கொண்டு வரப்பட்டபின்) அவற்றின் பின்னங்கால்களையும் கழுத்துகளையும் தடவிக் கொடுத்தார்."

bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks.
"என்னிடம் அவற்றை திரும்ப கொண்டு வாருங்கள் (என்று கூறினார் அவை திரும்ப கொண்டு வரப்பட்டபின்) அவற்றின் பின்னங்கால்களையும் கழுத்துகளையும் தடவிக் கொடுத்தார்."

and bring them in unto the garden which he hath made known to them.

in them there is beauty for you when you bring them home and when you lead them to pasture.
அவற்றை நீங்கள் மாலை நேரத்தில் (வீட்டுக்குத்) திரும்பி ஓட்டி வரும் போதும், காலை நேரத்தில் (மேய்ச்சலுக்காக) அவிழ்த்துவிடும் போதும், அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு(ப் பொலிவும்) அழகுமிருக்கிறது.

how could this punishment bring them to their senses when a messenger evidently had come to them,
நினைவுறுத்தும் நல்லுபதேசம் அவர்களுக்கு எவ்வாறு (அந்நேரம்) பயனளிக்கும்? (முன்னமேயே சத்தியத்தை) விளக்குபவரான தூதர் அவர்களிடம் வந்திருக்கின்றார்.

"bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks.
"என்னிடம் அவற்றை திரும்ப கொண்டு வாருங்கள் (என்று கூறினார் அவை திரும்ப கொண்டு வரப்பட்டபின்) அவற்றின் பின்னங்கால்களையும் கழுத்துகளையும் தடவிக் கொடுத்தார்."

and in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze.
அவற்றை நீங்கள் மாலை நேரத்தில் (வீட்டுக்குத்) திரும்பி ஓட்டி வரும் போதும், காலை நேரத்தில் (மேய்ச்சலுக்காக) அவிழ்த்துவிடும் போதும், அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு(ப் பொலிவும்) அழகுமிருக்கிறது.

did they not see that it did not give them any answer, nor had it power to do them harm or bring them gain?
அவர்களுக்கு அது மறுபடி எதுவும் சொல்லவில்லை என்பதையும்; அவர்களுக்காக நன்மையையோ, தீமையையோ செய்யச் சக்தியற்றது என்பதையும் அவர்கள் பார்க்க வில்லையா?

(muhammad), tell him, "he who gave them life in the first place will bring them back to life again. he has the best knowledge of all creatures.
"முதல் முதலில் அவற்றை உண்டு பண்ணியவனே (பின்னும்) அவற்றுக்கு உயிர் கொடுப்பான். அவன் எல்லாவகைப் படைப்புகளையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

and for all are degrees according to what they did, and that he may pay them back fully their deeds and they shall not be wronged.
அன்றியும், ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவரவர் செய்த செய்கைகளுக்குத் தகுந்த பதவிகள் (மறுமையில்) உண்டு - ஆகவே அவர்கள் தங்கள் செயலுக்குரிய கூலியைப் பூரணமாகப் பெறுவதற்காக, ஆகவே அவர்கள் (இதில்) அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்

and wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning.
அவற்றை நீங்கள் மாலை நேரத்தில் (வீட்டுக்குத்) திரும்பி ஓட்டி வரும் போதும், காலை நேரத்தில் (மேய்ச்சலுக்காக) அவிழ்த்துவிடும் போதும், அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு(ப் பொலிவும்) அழகுமிருக்கிறது.

and, by thy lord, verily we shall assemble them and the devils, then we shall bring them, crouching, around hell.
ஆகவே, (நபியே!) உம் இறைவன் மீது சத்தியமாக நாம் அவர்களையும், (அவர்களுடைய) ஷைத்தான்களையும் நிச்சயமாக (உயிர்ப்பித்து) ஒன்று சேர்ப்போம்; பின்னர் அவர்களை(யெல்லாம்) நரகத்தினைச் சூழ முழந்தாளிட்டவர்களாக ஆஜராக்குவோம்.
