even if we had sent the wind and caused (the plants) to turn yellow and to fade away, they would still have remained in disbelief.
ஆனால் (வரண்ட) ஒரு காற்றை நாம் அனுப்பி அத(ன் காரணத்தி)னால் (பயிர்கள் உலர்ந்து) மஞ்சள் நிறமாவதை அவர்கள் பார்த்தால், அதன் பின், (முன்னர் நன்மழை அனுப்பியதற்கு நன்றி மறந்து) நிராகரிப்போராகவே இருந்து விடுகின்றனர்.

[he will be told]: ‘enjoy your food and drink, for what you had sent in advance in past days [for your future life].’
"சென்று போன நாட்களில் நீங்கள் முற்படுத்தி(யனுப்பி)ய (நல்ல அமல்களின்) காரணத்தால், நீங்கள் இப்போது மகிழ்வோடு புசியுங்கள்; இன்னும் பருகுங்கள்" (என அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்).

if we had destroyed them by some calamity sooner than this, they would have surely said: "o lord, if you had sent to us a messenger we would have followed your command before being humbled and disgraced."
இன்னும் (நம் தூதர்) வருவதற்கு முன், நாம் இவர்களை வேதனை செய்து அழித்திருந்தால், அவர்கள், "எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்கு ஒரு தூதரை அனுப்பியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? அவ்வாறாயின் நாங்கள் சிறுமைப்படுவதற்கும், கேவலப்படுவதற்கும் முன் உன் வசனங்களைப் பின்பற்றியிருப்போமே" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

had we destroyed them with a torment before the coming of muhammad they would have said, "lord, would that you had sent us a messengers so that we could have followed your revelations before being humiliated and disgraced."
இன்னும் (நம் தூதர்) வருவதற்கு முன், நாம் இவர்களை வேதனை செய்து அழித்திருந்தால், அவர்கள், "எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்கு ஒரு தூதரை அனுப்பியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? அவ்வாறாயின் நாங்கள் சிறுமைப்படுவதற்கும், கேவலப்படுவதற்கும் முன் உன் வசனங்களைப் பின்பற்றியிருப்போமே" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

had we destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, “our lord, if only you had sent us a messenger, we would have followed your revelations before we were humiliated and disgraced.”
இன்னும் (நம் தூதர்) வருவதற்கு முன், நாம் இவர்களை வேதனை செய்து அழித்திருந்தால், அவர்கள், "எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்கு ஒரு தூதரை அனுப்பியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? அவ்வாறாயின் நாங்கள் சிறுமைப்படுவதற்கும், கேவலப்படுவதற்கும் முன் உன் வசனங்களைப் பின்பற்றியிருப்போமே" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

and may not say, if an affliction should befall them on account of their misdeeds: "lord, if only you had sent us a messenger, we might have followed your message and become believers."
அவர்களுடைய கைகள் செய்து முற்படுத்திய(தீ)வினை காரணமாக, அவர்களுக்கு ஏதேனும் சோதனை வரும்போது அவர்கள்; "எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்குத் தூதர் ஒருவரை அனுப்பிவைத்திருக்க வேண்டாமா? அப்போது நாங்கள் உன் வசனங்களை பின்பற்றி நாங்களும் முஃமின்களில் உள்ளவர்களாகியிருப்போமே!" என்று கூறாதிருக்கும் பொருட்டும் (உம்மை அவர்களிடையே தூதராக அனுப்பினோம்).

and if we had destroyed them with a torment before this (i.e. messenger muhammad saw and the quran), they would surely have said: "our lord! if only you had sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed your ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), before we were humiliated and disgraced."
இன்னும் (நம் தூதர்) வருவதற்கு முன், நாம் இவர்களை வேதனை செய்து அழித்திருந்தால், அவர்கள், "எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்கு ஒரு தூதரை அனுப்பியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? அவ்வாறாயின் நாங்கள் சிறுமைப்படுவதற்கும், கேவலப்படுவதற்கும் முன் உன் வசனங்களைப் பின்பற்றியிருப்போமே" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.
