thereupon we opened the gates of the sky for water to pour down ,
ወዲያውም የሰማይን ደጃፎች በሚንቧቧ ውሃ ከፈትን ፡ ፡

therefore the son of man is lord also of the sabbath.
እንዲሁም የሰው ልጅ ለሰንበት እንኳ ጌታዋ ነው አላቸው።

and he said unto them, that the son of man is lord also of the sabbath.
የሰው ልጅ የሰንበት ጌታ ነው አላቸውም።

hereafter shall the son of man sit on the right hand of the power of god.
ነገር ግን ከአሁን ጀምሮ የሰው ልጅ በእግዚአብሔር ኃይል ቀኝ ይቀመጣል።

for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of god.
የፍጥረት ናፍቆት የእግዚአብሔርን ልጆች መገለጥ ይጠባበቃልና።

and we made the son of mary and his mother a sign , and sheltered them in a level highland with flowing water .
የመርየምን ልጅና እናቱንም ተዓምር አደረግናቸው ፡ ፡ የመደላደልና የምንጭ ባለቤት ወደ ኾነች ከፍተኛ ስፍራም አስጠጋናቸው ፡ ፡

and when the son of mary is quoted as an example , behold ! the folk laugh out ,
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

that is jesus , the son of mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute .
ይህ የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ነው ፡ ፡ ያ በርሱ የሚጠራጠሩበት እውነተኛ ቃል ነው ፡ ፡

when the son of mary is mentioned as an example , your people turn away from it
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

and when the son of mary was cited as an example , your people opposed .
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

this is jesus , the son of mary ; and this is the truth about him concerning which they are in doubt .
ይህ የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ነው ፡ ፡ ያ በርሱ የሚጠራጠሩበት እውነተኛ ቃል ነው ፡ ፡

and when the son of mary is cited as an example , behold , thy people turn away from it
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

and ishmael , idris , and thulkifl ( the son of job ) each were patient .
ኢስማዒልንም ኢድሪስንም ዙልኪፍልንም ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከታጋሾቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

when the son of mary was mentioned as an example , you people cried out in protest , saying ,
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

and when the son of maryam is held up , an example , behold ! thy people thereat cry out .
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

and when a description of the son of marium is given , lo ! your people raise a clamor thereat .
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

when [ jesus ] the son of mary is held up as an example , your people raise an outcry on this ,
የመርየም ልጅም ምሳሌ በተደረገ ጊዜ ሕዝቦችህ ( ከሓዲዎቹ ) ወዲያውኑ ከእርሱ ይስቃሉ ፡ ፡

such was ( prophet ) jesus , the son of mary . a saying of truth , concerning what they doubt .
ይህ የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ነው ፡ ፡ ያ በርሱ የሚጠራጠሩበት እውነተኛ ቃል ነው ፡ ፡

for as jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
ዮናስ በዓሣ አንባሪ ሆድ ሦስት ቀንና ሦስት ሌሊት እንደ ነበረ፥ እንዲሁ የሰው ልጅ በምድር ልብ ሦስት ቀንና ሦስት ሌሊት ይኖራል።

and jesus said unto him, foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the son of man hath not where to lay his head.
ኢየሱስም። ለቀበሮዎች ጕድጓድ ለሰማይም ወፎች መሳፈሪያ አላቸው፥ ለሰው ልጅ ግን ራሱን የሚያስጠጋበት የለውም አለው።
