away ! away with that wherewith ye are promised ;
« ያ የምትስፈራሩበት ነገር ራቀ ፤ በጣም ራቀ ፡ ፡

lo ! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true ,
የምትቀጠሩት ( ትንሣኤ ) እውነት ነው ፡ ፡

deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith we enlarge them .
ከገንዘብና ከልጆች በእርሱ የምንጨምርላቸውን ያስባሉን

think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith we provide them
ከገንዘብና ከልጆች በእርሱ የምንጨምርላቸውን ያስባሉን

( how ) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them ?
ይጣቀሙበት የነበሩት ሁሉ ከእነሱ ምንም አያብቃቃቸውም ፡ ፡

and verily to shew them that wherewith we threaten them we are surely able .
እኛም የምናስፈራራቸውን ነገር ልናሳይህ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

say thou ; my lord ! if thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened .
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) በል « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! የሚያስፈራሩበትን ( ቅጣት ) ብታሳየኝ ፡ ፡

but god, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
ነገር ግን እግዚአብሔር በምሕረቱ ባለ ጠጋ ስለ ሆነ፥

those who deny the scripture and that wherewith we send our messengers . but they will come to know ,
ወደእነዚያ በመጽሐፉ በዚያም መልክተኞቻችንን በእርሱ በላክንበት ወዳስተባበሉት ( አታይምን ? ) ወደፊትም ያውቃሉ ፡ ፡

or if we shew thee that wherewith we threaten them , verily we are going to prevail over them .
ወይም ያንን የቀጠርናቸውን ብናሳይህ እኛ በእነርሱ ( ቅጣት ) ላይ ቻይዎች ነን ፡ ፡

those who cry lies to the book and that wherewith we sent our messengers -- soon they will know !
ወደእነዚያ በመጽሐፉ በዚያም መልክተኞቻችንን በእርሱ በላክንበት ወዳስተባበሉት ( አታይምን ? ) ወደፊትም ያውቃሉ ፡ ፡

and this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me : that thou hast enslaved the children of israel .
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

and that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the children of isra 'il ?
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

and eat of that wherewith allah hath provided you as lawful and clean ; and fear allah in whom ye are believers .
አላህም ከሰጣችሁ ሲሳይ የተፈቀደ ጣፋጭ ሲኾን ብሉ ፡ ፡ ያንንም እናንተ በርሱ አማኞች የኾናችሁበትን አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

children of israel , remember my blessing wherewith i blessed you , and that i have preferred you above all beings ;
የእስራኤል ልጆች ሆይ ! ያችን በናንተ ላይ የለገስኳትን ጸጋዬንና እኔም በዓለማት ላይ ያበለጥኳችሁ ( አባቶቻችሁን በጊዜያቸው ከነበሩት ዓለማት ያበለጥኩዋቸው ) መኾኔን አስታውሱ ፡ ፡

and they said : whatsoever thou mayest bring unto us of the nature of a sign wherewith to enchant us , in thee we are not going to be believers
( ለሙሳም ) « በማንኛይቱም ተዓምር በእርሷ ልትደግምብን ብትመጣብን እኛ ለአንተ የምናምንልህ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

and we sent not a warner unto a town but the affluent thereof said : ' verily in that wherewith ye have been sent we are disbelievers .
በከተማም አስፈራሪን አልላክንም ፡ ፡ ነዋሪዎችዋ « እኛ በዚያ በርሱ በተላካችሁበት ከሓዲዎች ነን » ያሉ ቢኾኑ እንጂ ፡ ፡

and if ye chastise , then chastise with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted , and if ye endure patiently , then surely it is better for the patient .
ብትበቀሉም በርሱ በተቀጣችሁበት ብጤ ተበቀሉ ፡ ፡ ብትታገሱም እርሱ ለታጋሾች በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

and if ye turn away , still i have conveyed unto you that wherewith i was sent unto you , and my lord will set in place of you a folk other than you . ye cannot injure him at all .
« ብትዞሩም በእርሱ ወደእናንተ የተላክሁበትን ነገር በእርግጥ አድርሼላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ከእናንተ ሌላ ሕዝብም ይተካል ምንም አትጎዱትምም ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነውና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and the dwellers of the fire cry out unto the dwellers of the garden : pour on us some water or some wherewith allah hath provided you . they say : lo !
የእሳትም ሰዎች የገነትን ሰዎች « በእኛ ላይ ከውሃ አፍስሱብን ወይም አላህ ከሰጣችሁ ሲሳይ ( ጣሉልን ) » ብለው ጠሩዋቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም « አላህ በከሓዲዎች ላይ እርም አድርጓቸዋል » ይሏቸዋል ፡ ፡
