कि लोगों को डुबा दीजिए ये तो आप ने बड़ी अजीब बात की है - ख़िज्र ने कहा क्या मैने आप से न कह दिया था

couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape , and are seized from near at hand ,
और काश तुम देखते जब ये कुफ्फार घबराए - घबराए फिरते होंगे तो भी छुटकारा न होगा

ah , if thou couldst see when they are terrified , and there is no escape , and they are seized from a place near at hand ,
और काश तुम देखते जब ये कुफ्फार घबराए - घबराए फिरते होंगे तो भी छुटकारा न होगा

said he , ' this is the parting between me and thee . now i will tell thee the interpretation of that thou couldst not bear patiently .
खिज्र ने कहा मेरे और आपके दरमियान छुट्टम छुट्टा अब जिन बातों पर आप से सब्र न हो सका मैं अभी आप को उनकी असल हक़ीकत बताए देता हूँ

and couldst thou behold when the angels take away the life of those who disbelive striking their faces and their backs : taste the torment of burning .
और काश तुम देखते जब फ़रिश्ते काफ़िरों की जान निकाल लेते थे और रूख़ और पुश्त पर कोड़े मारते थे और अज़ाब जहन्नुम के मज़े चखों

and couldst thou see the time when they shall be terrified ! then there shall be no escaping , and they shall be laid hold of from a place quite nigh .
और काश तुम देखते जब ये कुफ्फार घबराए - घबराए फिरते होंगे तो भी छुटकारा न होगा

if only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them , it would be best for them : but allah is oft - forgiving , most merciful .
और अगर ये लोग इतना ताम्मुल करते कि तुम ख़ुद निकल कर उनके पास आ जाते तो ये उनके लिए बेहतर था और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

and he united their hearts . hadst thou expended all that is on the earth thou couldst not have united their hearts , but allah united them ; verily he is mighty , wise .
और उसी ने उन मुसलमानों के दिलों में बाहम ऐसी उलफ़त पैदा कर दी कि अगर तुम जो कुछ ज़मीन में है सब का सब खर्च कर डालते तो भी उनके दिलो में ऐसी उलफ़त पैदा न कर सकते मगर ख़ुदा ही था जिसने बाहम उलफत पैदा की बेशक वह ज़बरदस्त हिक़मत वाला है

and hath attuned their hearts . if thou hadst spent all that is in the earth thou couldst not have attuned their hearts , but allah hath attuned them . lo ! he is mighty , wise .
और उनके दिल आपस में एक - दूसरे से जोड़ दिए । यदि तुम धरती में जो कुछ है , सब खर्च कर डालते तो भी उनके दिलों को परस्पर जोड़ न सकते , किन्तु अल्लाह ने उन्हें परस्पर जोड़ दिया । निश्चय ही वह अत्यन्त प्रभुत्वशाली , तत्वदर्शी है

he made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession : so that thou couldst see the people lying prostrate in its , as they had been roots of hollow palm - trees tumbled down !
ख़ुदा ने उसे सात रात और आठ दिन लगाकर उन पर चलाया तो लोगों को इस तरह ढहे पड़े देखता कि गोया वह खजूरों के खोखले तने हैं

and brought their hearts together . hadst thou expended all that is in the earth , thou couldst not have brought their hearts together ; but god brought their hearts together ; surely he is all - mighty , all - wise .
और उसी ने उन मुसलमानों के दिलों में बाहम ऐसी उलफ़त पैदा कर दी कि अगर तुम जो कुछ ज़मीन में है सब का सब खर्च कर डालते तो भी उनके दिलो में ऐसी उलफ़त पैदा न कर सकते मगर ख़ुदा ही था जिसने बाहम उलफत पैदा की बेशक वह ज़बरदस्त हिक़मत वाला है
