तो जब ये लोग उसे करीब से देख लेंगे काफिरों के चेहरे बिगड़ जाएँगे और उनसे कहा जाएगा ये वही है जिसके तुम ख़वास्तग़ार थे

if you invoke them , they do not hear your call ; and even if they could hear , they would not respond to you . and on the day of resurrection they will disown your having associated them with god . no one can tell you like the one who is all knowing .
अगर तुम उनको पुकारो तो वह तुम्हारी पुकार को सुनते नहीं अगर सुनों भी तो तुम्हारी दुआएँ नहीं कुबूल कर सकते और क़यामत के दिन तुम्हारे शिर्क से इन्कार कर बैठेंगें और वाक़िफकार तुम्हें बता नहीं सकता

and of them is he who hearkens to you , and we have cast veils over their hearts lest they understand it and a heaviness into their ears ; and even if they see every sign they will not believe in it ; so much so that when they come to you they only dispute with you ; those who disbelieve say : this is naught but the stories of the ancients .
वह सब ग़ायब हो गयी और बाज़ उनमें के ऐसे भी हैं जो तुम्हारी तरफ कान लगाए रहते हैं और मौजिज़े भी देखे लें तब भी ईमान न लाएंगें यहाँ तक कि जब तुम्हारे पास तुम से उलझे हुए आ निकलते हैं तो कुफ्फ़ार कहा बैठे है ये तो अगलों की कहानियों के सिवा कुछ भी नहीं

i will turn away from my signs all those who are arrogant in the land without any right , so that even if they see all the signs they will not believe in them . if they see the right path , they shall not walk upon it : but if they see the path of error , they shall choose it for their path , because they have given the lie to our signs and paid no heed to them .
जो लोग ज़मीन पर नाहक़ अकड़ते फिरते हैं उनको अपनी आयतों से बहुत जल्द फेर दूंगा और मै क्या फेरूंगा ख़ुदा अगर दुनिया जहॉन के सारे मौजिज़े भी देखते तो भी ये उन पर ईमान न लाएगें और सीधा रास्ता भी देख पाएं तो भी अपनी राह न जाएगें और अगर गुमराही की राह देख लेगें तो झटपट उसको अपना तरीक़ा बना लेगें ये कजरवी इस सबब से हुई कि उन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठला दिया और उनसे ग़फलत करते रहे

be patient , as the messengers of might were patient , and do not hasten it for them . on the day when they see what they have been promised , it will be as if they did not stay except an hour of a day . a conveyance ! shall any be destroyed except the nation of evildoers ?
अतः धैर्य से काम लो , जिस प्रकार संकल्पवान रसूलों ने धैर्य से काम लिया । और उनके लिए जल्दी न करो । जिस दिन वे लोग उस चीज़ को देख लेंगे जिसका उनसे वादा किया जाता है , तो वे महसूस करेंगे कि जैसे वे बस दिन की एक घड़ी भर ही ठहरे थे । यह साफ़ - साफ़ पहुँचा देना है । अब क्या अवज्ञाकारी लोगों के अतिरिक्त कोई और विनष्ट होगा ?

among them are some who listen to you , but we have placed veils over their hearts and deafness in their ears which prevent them from understanding what you say . even if they saw all the signs , they would still not believe in them . when those who deny the truth come to dispute with you , they will say , " this is nothing but ancient fables , "
