それでは、これらの事について、なんと言おうか。もし、神がわたしたちの味方であるなら、だれがわたしたちに敵し得ようか。

lo! it is ye who have contended for them in the life of the world; then who will contend for them with allah on the day of resurrection, or who shall be their champion?
これ，あなたがたは現世の生活の上でかれらのために弁護している。だが誰が，復活の日に，かれらのためアッラーに弁護出来よう。また誰が，かれらの事の保護者となろうか。

say: 'what think you? if god destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?'
言ってやるがいい。「あなたがたは考えないのか，もしアッラーが，わたしやわたしと一緒の者を滅ぼされても，また慈悲を与えられても，凡そ不信者を痛烈な懲罰から救うものは誰であろうか。」

they said, "ask your lord to make it clear to us the exact type of heifer she should be, for to us all heifers look alike. if god wills, we shall be rightly guided."
かれらは言った。「あなたの主に御願いして，それはどんな（牛）か，あたしたちにはっきりさせて下さい。単に雌牛では，わたしたちにはどうも同じに思える。もしアッラーが御望みなら，わたしたちはきっと正しく導いて頂けよう。」

said jesus son of mary, 'o god, our lord, send down upon us a table out of heaven, that shall be for us a festival, the first and last of us, and a sign from thee. and provide for us; thou art the best of providers.'
マルヤムの子イーサーは（祈って）言った。「アッラー，わたしたちの主よ，わたしたちのために，（食物を並べた）食卓を天から御下しになり，それでわたしたちへの最初の，また最後の機縁となされ，あなたからの印として下さい。わたしたちに食を与えて下さい。本当にあなたは最も優れた養い主です。」
