the wages of sin is death
பாவத்தின் சம்பளம் மரணம்

thus do we deal with men of sin.
குற்றவாளிகளை இவ்வாறுதான் நாம் செய்வோம் (தண்டிப்போம்).

and inspired it with its sin and its piety,
அப்பால், அவன் (அல்லாஹ்) அதற்கு அதன் தீமையையும், அதன் நன்மையையும் உணர்த்தினான்.

they will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin,
அங்கு இவர்கள் வீணானதையும், பாவமுண்டாக்குவதையும் (கொண்ட பேச்சுகளைச்) செவியுற மாட்டார்கள்.

for the atonement of our sins and of the whole world
தெய்வீக இரக்கம்

and inspired in it the knowledge of its sins and its piety.
அப்பால், அவன் (அல்லாஹ்) அதற்கு அதன் தீமையையும், அதன் நன்மையையும் உணர்த்தினான்.

you will see many of them hastening towards sin and transgression and devouring unlawful earnings. indeed what they do is evil.
அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் பாவத்திலும், அக்கிரமத்திலும் விலக்கப்பட்ட பொருள்களை உண்பதிலும் விரைந்து செயல் படுவதை (நபியே!) நீர் காண்பீர். அவர்கள் செய்வதெல்லாம் தீமையேதாம்.

of sin-doubled shall be the chastisement for him on the resurrection day, and he shall dwell therein humbled,
கியாம நாளில் அவருடைய வேதனை இரட்டிப்பாக்கப்படும்; இன்னும் அதில் இழிவாக்கப்பட்டவராக என்றென்றும் தங்கிவிடுவர்.

that god may absolve them of their sins and reward them for the best that they had done.
அவர்கள் செய்தவற்றில் மிகத் தீயவற்றையும் அவர்களை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் விலக்கி, அவர்களுடைய (நற்காரியங்களுக்குரிய) கூலியை அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததை விட மிக்க அழகியதைக் கொண்டு அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பான்.

forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.
(முஃமின்களே!) "வெளிப்படையான பாவத்தையும், அந்தரங்கமான பாவத்தையும் விட்டுவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் பாவத்தைச் சம்பாதிக்கின்றனரோ, அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்தவற்றுக்குக் கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

and those who shun the worst of sins and indecencies and, when they are wroth, forgive,
அவர்கள் (எத்தகையொரென்றால்) பெரும் பாவங்களையும், மானக்கேடானவற்றையும், தவிர்த்துக் கொண்டு, தாம் கோபம் அடையும் பொழுதும் மன்னிப்பார்கள்.

and leave the outside of sin and the inside thereof; verily those who earn sin, anon will they be requited for that which they were wont to do.
(முஃமின்களே!) "வெளிப்படையான பாவத்தையும், அந்தரங்கமான பாவத்தையும் விட்டுவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் பாவத்தைச் சம்பாதிக்கின்றனரோ, அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்தவற்றுக்குக் கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

forgiver of sin, and acceptor of repentance severe in chastisement, lord of power. there is no god but he; unto him is the journeying.
பாவத்தை மன்னிப்பவனும், தவ்பாவை - மன்னிப்புக் கேட்பதை - அங்கீகரிப்பவனும், தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவனும், தயை மிக்கவனும் ஆவான், அவனைத் தவிர நாயன் இல்லை அவனிடமே (யாவரும்) மீள வேண்டியதிருக்கிறது.

all such things are sins and detestable in the sight of your lord.
இவையனைத்தின் தீமையும் உம் இறைவனிடத்தில் வெறுக்கப்பட்டதாக இருக்கிறது.

and do not allow your oaths in god's name to hinder you from virtue, and righteousness, and making peace between people. god is listener and knower.
இன்னும், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வைக் கொண்டு சத்தியம் செய்வதனால், நீங்கள் நற்கருமங்கள் செய்தல், இறைபக்தியுடன் நடத்தல், மனிதர்களிடையே சமாதானம் செய்து வைத்தல் போன்றவற்றில் அவனை ஒரு தடையாகச் செய்துவிடாதீர்கள்;. அல்லாஹ் யாவற்றையும் செவியுறுவோனாகவும், நன்கறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

and leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit.
(முஃமின்களே!) "வெளிப்படையான பாவத்தையும், அந்தரங்கமான பாவத்தையும் விட்டுவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் பாவத்தைச் சம்பாதிக்கின்றனரோ, அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்தவற்றுக்குக் கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness from sins and a great reward.
ஈமான் கொண்டு. நல்ல அமல்கள் செய்வோருக்கு, மன்னிப்பையும், மகத்தான (நற்)கூலியையும் அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்துள்ளான்.

and those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive,
அவர்கள் (எத்தகையொரென்றால்) பெரும் பாவங்களையும், மானக்கேடானவற்றையும், தவிர்த்துக் கொண்டு, தாம் கோபம் அடையும் பொழுதும் மன்னிப்பார்கள்.

and he it is who accepts repentance from his slaves, and forgives sins, and he knows what you do.
அவன்தான் தன் அடியார்களின் தவ்பாவை - பாவ மன்னிப்புக் கோறுதலை - ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறான்; (அவர்களின்) குற்றங்களை மன்னிக்கிறான். இன்னும், நீங்கள் செய்வதை அவன் நன்கறிகிறான்.

the revelation of the book is from allah, the mighty, the knower. forgiver of sin, and accepter of repentance, severe in chastisement, lord of power. there is no god but he; unto him is the journeying.
(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோனும், மிக அறிந்தோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து இறக்கியருளப்பட்டதே இவ்வேதம்.
