(அதற்கு) அவர்கள்; எங்கள் மூதாதையர்களை எதன் மீது நாங்கள் கண்டோமோ அதிலிருந்து எங்களைத் திருப்பிவிடவும், இந்த பூமியில் உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பெருமையை உண்டாக்கிக் கொள்வதற்குமா நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வந்தீர்கள்? ஆனால் நாங்கள் உங்களிருவர் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவர்களல்லர்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

they replied: 'have you come to turn us away from the way of our forefathers that the two of you might become supreme in the land? we shall never accept what the two of you say.'
(அதற்கு) அவர்கள்; எங்கள் மூதாதையர்களை எதன் மீது நாங்கள் கண்டோமோ அதிலிருந்து எங்களைத் திருப்பிவிடவும், இந்த பூமியில் உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பெருமையை உண்டாக்கிக் கொள்வதற்குமா நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வந்தீர்கள்? ஆனால் நாங்கள் உங்களிருவர் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவர்களல்லர்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.
