it will come to them suddenly, while they are unaware.
அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்; "எங்களுக்கு(ச் சிறிது) அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படுமா?" என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

they will ask you [prophet] about the hour, saying, "when it will come to pass?",
(நபியே! "மறுமையின்) நேரத்தைப் பற்றி - அது எப்போது ஏற்படும்?" என்று அவர்கள் உம்மைக் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

and it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.
அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்; "எங்களுக்கு(ச் சிறிது) அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படுமா?" என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

call mankind to the pilgrimage. they will come to you, on foot, and on every kind of lean camel, by every distant track
ஹஜ்ஜை பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக! அவர்கள் நடந்தும் வெகு தொலைவிலிருந்து வரும் மெலிந்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீதும் உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள் (எனக் கூறினோம்).

and proclaim the hajj to all the people: they will come to you on foot and on lean camels, coming from distant places,
ஹஜ்ஜை பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக! அவர்கள் நடந்தும் வெகு தொலைவிலிருந்து வரும் மெலிந்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீதும் உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள் (எனக் கூறினோம்).

and proclaim among men the pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path,
ஹஜ்ஜை பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக! அவர்கள் நடந்தும் வெகு தொலைவிலிருந்து வரும் மெலிந்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீதும் உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள் (எனக் கூறினோம்).

and announce the pilgrimage to humanity. they will come to you on foot, and on every transport. they will come from every distant point.
ஹஜ்ஜை பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக! அவர்கள் நடந்தும் வெகு தொலைவிலிருந்து வரும் மெலிந்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீதும் உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள் (எனக் கூறினோம்).

he said, "god alone knows when it will come, and i deliver to you the message with which i am sent, but i see you are a people who are ignorant."
அதற்கவர்; "(அது எப்பொழுது வரும் என்ற) ஞானம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடம் தான் இருக்கிறது மேலும், நான் எதைக் கொண்டு உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேனோ அதையே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்ப்பித்து, எடுத்துரைக்கின்றேன் - எனினும் நான் உங்களை அறிவில்லாத சமூகத்தாராகவே காண்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்.

how shall it be when they suffer misfortunes for their own misdeeds? then they will come to you swearing by god and saying: "we wish for nothing but good and amity."
அவர்களின் கைகள் முற்படுத்தியனுப்பிய தீவினையின் காரணத்தால், அவர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் ஏற்பட்டால் எப்படியிருக்கும்? அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் உம்மிடம் வந்து அல்லாஹ்வின் மேல் சத்தியம் செய்து "நாங்கள் நன்மையையும் ஒற்றுமையையும் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) நாடவில்லை" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.

say: 'had god willed i would not have recited it to you, neither would he have taught you it; i abode among you a lifetime before it -- will you not understand?'
"(இதை நான் உஙக்ளுக்கு ஓதிக் காட்டக்கூடாது என்று) அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால், இதனை நான் உங்களிடம் ஓதிக் காண்பித்திருக்க மாட்டேன்; மேலும் அதைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு அவன் அறிவித்திருக்கமாட்டான்; நிச்சயமாக நாம் இதற்கு முன்னர் உங்களிடையே நீண்ட காலம் வசித்திருக்கிறேன் - இதை நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

and if we hold back from them the punishment until a stated period of time, they will certainly say: what prevents it? now surely on the day when it will come to them, it shall not be averted from them and that which they scoffed at shall beset them.
(குஃப்ரின் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய) வேதனையை ஒரு குறித்தகாலம் வரை நாம் பிற்படுத்தினால் "அதைத் தடுத்தது யாது?" என்று அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக (ஏளனமாகக்) கேட்பார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு வேதனை வரும் நாளில் அவர்களை விட்டும் (அது) தடுக்கப்படாது என்பதையும், எதை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அது அவர்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும் என்பதையும் அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

and their prophet said to them, 'the sign of his kingship is that the ark will come to you, in it a shechina from your lord, and a remnant of what the folk of moses and aaron's folk left behind, the angels bearing it. surely in that shall be a sign for you, if you are believers.'
இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய நபி அவர்களிடம், "நிச்சயமாக அவருடைய அரசதிகாரத்திற்கு அடையாளமாக உங்களிடம் ஒரு தாபூத் (பேழை) வரும்; அதில் உங்களுக்கு, உங்கள் இறைவனிடம் இருந்து ஆறுதல் (கொடுக்கக் கூடியவை) இருக்கும்; இன்னும், மூஸாவின் சந்ததியினரும்; ஹாரூனின் சந்ததியினரும் விட்டுச் சென்றவற்றின் மீதம் உள்ளவையும் இருக்கும்; அதை மலக்குகள் (வானவர்கள்) சுமந்து வருவார்கள்; நீங்கள் முஃமின்களாக இருப்பின் நிச்சயமாக இதில் உங்களுக்கு அத்தாட்சி இருக்கின்றது" என்று கூறினார்.

and if you find no one in them, do not enter them until you are given permission. and if it is said to you, “turn back,” then turn back. that is more proper for you. god is aware of what you do.
அதில் நீங்கள் எவரையும் காணாவிட்டால், உங்களுக்கு அனுமதி கொடுக்கப்படும் வரையில் அதில் பிரவேசிக்காதீர்கள்; அன்றியும், 'திரும்பிப் போய் விடுங்கள்' என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டால், அவ்வாறே திரும்பி விடுங்கள் - அதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் பரிசுத்தமானதாகும்; மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்வதை நன்கறிபவன்.

it will be said to him, “surely yes, why not?* my signs did come to you, so you denied them and you were haughty and you were a disbeliever.” (they will be mocked at.)
(பதில் கூறப்படும்;) "மெய்யாகவே என்னுடைய வசனங்கள் உன்னிடம் வந்தன ஆனால் அவற்றை நீ பொய்ப்பிக்க முற்பட்டுப் பெருமையடித்தாய்; காஃபிர்களில் ஒருவனாகி இருந்தாய்."

and if you do not find anyone therein, do not enter them until permission has been given you. and if it is said to you, "go back," then go back; it is purer for you. and allah is knowing of what you do.
அதில் நீங்கள் எவரையும் காணாவிட்டால், உங்களுக்கு அனுமதி கொடுக்கப்படும் வரையில் அதில் பிரவேசிக்காதீர்கள்; அன்றியும், 'திரும்பிப் போய் விடுங்கள்' என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டால், அவ்வாறே திரும்பி விடுங்கள் - அதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் பரிசுத்தமானதாகும்; மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்வதை நன்கறிபவன்.

tell them (o prophet!): 'let them rejoice in allah's grace and mercy through which this (book) has come to you. it is better than all the riches that they accumulate.
"அல்லாஹ்வின் அருட்கொடையினாலும், அவனுடைய பெருங்கிருபையினாலுமே (இது வந்துள்ளது, எனவே) - இதில் அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சிடையட்டும், அவர்கள் திரட்டி வைத்திருக்கும் (செல்வங்களை) விட இது மிக்க மேலானது" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

(we told you), "if you do good, it will be for your own benefit, but if you do bad, it will be against your souls. when the prophecy of your second transgression will come to pass, sadness will cover your faces. they (your enemies) will enter the mosque as they did the first time to bring about utter destruction.
நீங்கள் நன்மை செய்தால் உங்களுக்கே நன்மை செய்து கொள்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் தீமை செய்தால் அதுவும் உங்களுக்கே(தீமை)யாகும், உங்கள் முகங்களை சோகம் அடையச் செய்வதற்காகவும் பைத்துல் முகத்தஸில் முதல் முறையாக அவர்கள் நுழைந்தது போல் நுழைந்து அவர்கள் தாங்கள் கைப்பற்றிக் கொண்டவைகளை முற்றாக அழித்து விடுவதற்காகவும் (எதிரிகளை) இரண்டாம் வாக்குறுதி வரும்பொழுது (நாம் ஆனுப்பினோம்).

if ye disclose (acts of) charity, even so it is well, but if ye conceal them, and make them reach those (really) in need, that is best for you: it will remove from you some of your (stains of) evil. and allah is well acquainted with what ye do.
தான தர்மங்களை நீங்கள் வெளிப்டையாகச் செய்தால் அதுவும் நல்; லதே (ஏனெனில் அவ்வாறு செய்யப் பிறரையும் அது தூண்டும்;) எனினும் அவற்றை மறைத்து ஏழையெளியோர்க்கு அவை கிடைக்கும்படிச் செய்தால் அது உங்களுக்க இன்னும் நல்லது. அது உங்களுடைய பாவங்களையும் நீக்கும்; நீங்கள் செய்வதை(யெல்லாம்) அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.
