op slechts een paar honderd meter lopen van de kathedraal bevindt zich de gotische kerk van santa maria del pi. op dezelfde plek stond in de 10e eeuw al een kleine romaanse kerk die dezelfde naam droeg. de kerk is gewijd aan de heilige maagd van de denneboom.
