dit gebeurt wanneer iemand een artikel plaatst in een andere nieuwsgroep en de optie aansluitend aan nieuwsgroep heeft gebruikt. het artikel is naar uw nieuwgroep verzonden, maar het artikel waarop dit aansluit is afwezig. in veel gevallen vertelt de auteur de reden waarom dit is gebeurd.
this happens when somebody posted an article in another news group and checked the option followup to; the article in question is then sent to your news group, but the referring article is absent. in many cases the poster tells the reason for his choice to set a followup.

het zal u niet verrassen dat engels de belangrijkste voertaal op usenet is. er zijn speciale groepen voor nederlands (nl. *), frans (fr. *) en andere talen. indien u de voertaal van een nieuwgroep niet kunt bepalen, dan kunt u voorgaande artikelen doorlezen of de beschrijving van de nieuwsgroep bekijken, wellicht dat u het daar kunt vinden.
you will not be surprised about english being the main language on the usenet; however, there are special trees for german (de. *), french (fr. *) and many other languages. if you are unable to determine the main language of a newsgroup the only possibility is careful listening or a possible explanation in the description of the group in the grouplist.
