ہفتہ کا دن صرف انہی لوگوں پر مقرر کیا گیا تھا جنہوں نے اس میں اختلاف کیا، اور بیشک آپ کا رب قیامت کے دن اُن کے درمیان اُن (باتوں) کا فیصلہ فرما دے گا جن میں وہ اختلاف کیا کرتے تھے،

(اے رسول(ص)) آپ سے وہی کچھ کہا جا رہا ہے جو آپ سے پہلے گزرے ہوئے رسولوں(ع) سے کہا گیا ہے بیشک آپ کا پروردگار بڑا بخشش والا بھی ہے اور بڑے دردناک عذاب والا بھی۔

اور (ان منافقوں کا یہ حال ہے کہ آپ کے سامنے) کہتے ہیں کہ (ہم نے آپ کا حکم) مان لیا، پھر وہ آپ کے پاس سے (اٹھ کر) باہر جاتے ہیں تو ان میں سے ایک گروہ آپ کی کہی ہوئی بات کے برعکس رات کو رائے زنی (اور سازشی مشورے) کرتا ہے، اور اللہ (وہ سب کچھ) لکھ رہا ہے جو وہ رات بھر منصوبے بناتے ہیں۔ پس (اے محبوب!) آپ ان سے رُخِ انور پھیر لیجئے اوراللہ پر بھروسہ رکھئیے، اور اللہ کافی کارساز ہے،
they have "obedience" on their lips; but when they leave thee, a section of them meditate all night on things very different from what thou tellest them. but allah records their nightly (plots): so keep clear of them, and put thy trust in allah, and enough is allah as a disposer of affairs.
